samples with polyester and complex shapes :) - Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, 2.7 l., 2000
Well, after the competition I decided to try to work with polyester resins, the first thought was to make a podium panel on the back door for two pancakes for street sounding, because the front and rear were not enough, the subs jammed everything. The first "pancake" more or less turned out, though I fiddled with it for a very long time, mainly due to the fact that I was trying to bring it out for painting, and it is oh, how difficult it is without experience in this matter and without tools. but on time on the internet I spied an alternative to painting - antigraviy.depending on the brand of antigravel, you can give the podium a different surface texture (even under the standard plastic) and then paint it with the appropriate paint, on this we decided :))) here are the pictures:
then I wanted to look at the DVD in the car :)) I bought a 7 "monitor + a DVD player for bedsores The monitor decided to" build "it into the panel. It is clear that all this is still a complete collective farm, but you need to learn from something :)))
here are pictures monitor:
in the meantime, I read more and more on the Internet, there was more and more information that I would like to try. and new forms of din design.
decided to try to make a sphere for 2 mid 6,5 "just for practice :) plywood frame, then ordinary tights are stretched, then polyester + glass mat, then spatula + sandpaper, then anti-gravel and you're done :)) photo:
also made another podium for a couple of din cats. lying in the garage (for the garage voice acting :)) photo:
damn, this is a limitation on pictures: ((I feel that with such a limitation of the material I have accumulated at least three more posts for sure ... well, in an hour there will be an update, I still am sick, there is nothing to do :(
I’ll run a little ahead. If I'm not mistaken, your TLC Prado has the rear vents dismantled and all-metal openings made ?! It is very interesting to know the details of manufacturing, and in general, the history of the installation of this vehicle.
thanks, boom, try not to forget anything :) by the way, I already forgot about the hatch :)
Excellent. Repeatedly pecked on car audio resources… I just saw the gas tank flap with molding in the photo and remembered… I don’t think there is another one =) In general, I wish you good luck in taking notes, I will be happy to follow your BZ.
Yes, yes, to the point :) And where have you seen my pradik? And they are not metal, but made of fiberglass + polyester :) But it will be a little later, I just want to "outline" everything for a long time, otherwise all the pictures are scattered around hard, flash drives, I can't find much anymore :( so the idea was born to collect as much as possible and in order, starting from the very beginning. so that everything will be a little later. Specifically, the "vents" will be in a couple of posts.
PS I think it's better on "You" communicate :)
in general, there is another option to make a sphere - to take a ball of thick rubber, stick it with glass mat and saturate it with resin, well, then I think it’s understandable. rigidity will not be enough - so I decided to do it on the basis of a plywood frame.
By the way, nifiga! I did it in a few evenings, everything is simple there: you cut many, many half arcs of the same, you glue them with hot glue, then tights + resin, well, in short, everything is clear :)
Yes, I probably tinkered with the sphere. Question for plywood rings for shape or stiffness?
Yes, in skillful hands, everything happens quickly, and with a rubber ball, I also had this thought, true fiberglass with good thickness, and even in the shape of a sphere, very tough for reference 3mm fiberglass = 1mm metal, although everyone chooses how from which to quickly and conveniently make various parts This is the appeal of tuning good luck!
Wow :) Well, it's not the most interesting, but worthy of attention :) Thank you)
In fact, this is the most interesting project on d2 in terms of sound that I have read. And also hands grow from that place :) You can do it;)
