Installation of ignition coils - Toyota Sprinter Trueno, 1.6 L, 1985
4a-gze engine from the factory was produced with 2 types of ignition
The 1st type is found on mr2 in the aw11 body and is identical to the ignition type as on the 4age16 engine of the distributor type, which means that the readings of 2 sensors, the NE crankshaft position sensor and the G1 camshaft, are enough to implement this scheme,
2nd type early implementation of DIS2 gKmWNHGIi Ignition System, that is, in fact, each pair of candles is served by 1 coil, this circuit allows you to get rid of the distributor
in my case, when using a 4agze control unit from the last generation of the engine, it was possible to combine both 2 types of ignition, for correct implementation it is enough to install a distributor from 4age16 of the 3rd generation, which has an additional camshaft sensor G2 in the combined ignition unit (distributor), and a standard 4age switch , while we do not use the IGD signal, this is sufficient for normal operation.
But I decided to repeat the implementation scheme of the standard coil ignition circuit of a 4a-gze motor. So, as I already wrote, the factory coil ignition circuit of the early type works somewhat differently in the usual sense of DIS2, in the DIS2 circuit each pair has its own individual signal to supply a spark, for example IG1 and IG2, which in turn alternate with each other if such a circuit were implemented in 4agze, then it was enough for us to use either paired coils from a 7afe motor of a later generation, or individual COP's from a 1zz-fe motor, for example, but
unlike the 4a-gze circuit in which the IGT signal gives the switch command to spark, and the second IGD signal tells the switch which pair of candles to spark, so we have to use a 4agze switch, you can take a 7m-gte switch or MSD product, but I I have not met such people live, therefore for me it is more exotic, then, in order to repeat the scheme to the end, we need to: the 4agze distributor, unlike the distributor, does not have a spark distribution slider, again you can install a distributor from 4age 16 of the 3rd generation, though sticking horns the high-voltage wires will look a little dull, then the 4agze switch and the coils themselves, the mandatory specification of the coils must be paired and there must be no built-in switch in them, for example, from jzx100 1jz-ge / gte, in my case they will be used, for the reasons that: firstly, finding native 4a-gze coils is problematic, secondly, coils from 1jz are more compact and easy to hide in a niche between the camshaft covers

earring, so count up how much you need to know to understand this. it's pestos ...
Petya, you are a maniac in a good sense of the word :)
I almost broke my brain until I read all the abbreviations, it's still hard to have a liberal education. :)))))
This was caused by the switch to the 4a-gze brain which controls coil ignition from the factory.
Hey. Enlighten me, why give up the distributor at all? that the engine runs better without it? or what?
here you go, I'm on gtextreme, this link was given by

with January, in fact, everything is simple, you order a crown for 60 teeth from a turner (you cut off 2), connect it with a 4age pulley, you can use screws, you can use it for welding and hang an inductive sensor (dpkv) on the oil pump body, by the way, from Toyota Dis-2 in the same way executed, for example, on 4a / 7afe motors on the oil pump there is an ebb tide where this sensor is attached, the pulley itself has a toothed ring, how many teeth it is I do not know to be honest
I generally want to go to January, so I think how to remake the distributor in DPKV, in my opinion it is directly built into it, because when I had an old distributor, he wrote a crankshaft sensor error. the article is very good though written to the point! otherwise they will write all sorts of nonsense on gtextreme
Well, why, and on an atmospheric motor, it also makes sense, firstly, there are fewer rotating wear parts, and secondly, the coils live longer, while the spark will be more powerful, since the current accumulation time will decrease
It is clear, I'm waiting.
I myself had such an idea, I spied on my mother on Witz with 1nz-fe
Since the concept has changed, the new motor will be equipped with cops (individual coils) from 1nz-fe
No, such a scheme will not suit you, look for a contract distributor, I do not think that it will cost more than 1.5-2 thousand rubles
Hello! Interested in how to hang the ignition coils, otherwise the distributor is hovering my brain. I can't find a distributor, they said that the original new one costs 40 - 45 thousand.
