Frost and sun ... money is needed =) - Toyota Corolla, 1.6 liter, 2004

Frost and sun money is needed - Toyota Corolla 16 liter 2004

Well, terrible frosts have reached us.
It was -32 this morning.
The story began a little earlier than today. At the end of last week, my xenon in the near began to come to an end. At first one lamp did not fully ignite, then it began to burn very brightly and went out. This continued until it began to burn green, then pink and green again. My car turned into a Christmas tree, and it became uncomfortable to drive on the highway in the evenings.
The MTF xenon kit has a long service life. The ignition units themselves were on the previous machine, the total life is about 3 years. The lamps lasted 2 years for sure. I used light almost always. I am pleased with the result.
So that's it. There is almost no light, after consulting with people who are engaged in xenon, etc., it was decided to buy a new kit (and not lamps). I bought Sho mi, the cheapest and, as it turned out, one of the most reliable (not just empty words). I naturally chose the temperature of 4300 K (since for me this is not a show-off, but a necessity. It is yellow light that is most effective in bad weather). Agreed to install.
I wake up in the morning of the 15th. I went out into the street, the frost was about 25. The starter turned for 5 seconds. On the second attempt, he refused to work, there was a treacherous crackle of the relay.
Heck. Okay. I thought about driving my mother's car (Suzuki GV, a completely new car). And what do you think? Also, on the second attempt, the battery died, although it is zero)
Okay. I went home, took the keys to my dad's car, I thought I'd light a cigarette from him. I pressed the button, the starter spun dashingly for 10-15 seconds, until the protection worked. Once again the button is the same. Didn't even grab the motor. This speaks of the quality of our diesel fuel (P, S, dad then started it from 4 times).
It all ended with a cigarette from a UAZ Patriot neighbor. Started up, warmed up, drove off.
In the evening I took the money, went to get the battery, since mine had already exhausted its resource (it was my own since 2004).
I bought a VARTA battery for 63 A and a starting current of 610. It cost me 3700 rubles.
Then the old oil was replaced. I skated 9 thousand on it. The time has come. Filled instead of 5w50 - 5w40. It's a little thinner (and cheaper by the way, which I didn't know about). Lew only Mobil. Total for the replacement together with work 2100 p.
The candles were recently replaced, so I ruled them out.
Then I went to put on the light for the remaining amount. It cost me 3,000 rubles along with the installation.
In total, 8800 rubles were spent for the evening.
The frost is getting stronger, today it is 30, and in the morning I start the second time. Measures have been taken, the car is working properly. Now I don't jerk about the frost in the morning.)))

I reinforce the story with a photo =) ...
... and now a video =)

They dragged the diesel to a warm workshop. It was a day at +3 plus the battery on charge. As a result, we look at the video.

I have a guarded garage 5 minutes walk from the house, but it is temporarily occupied due to circumstances beyond my control ...

Well tady oh 8) It's the master's business, it's cramped under the hood of foreign cars, it's cramped. But they could have come up with something at the station.

No, we fixed it normally! There is no more room, I asked that, because it was!

The garage and the starter-charger undoubtedly rule. I remember how I started a four at -30, I also used a can of winter start (propane + ether), it helped a lot.
If your battery has been running for 5 years, it's really time for him to retire 8)
By the way, you can get three hundred or three hundred dollars for uncut on ferrous metal, I haven't handed over the truth for a long time, I can't say the exact amount ...

PS: This is how we have "masters" in Ulyanovsk FOR MONEY the ignition blocks are fixed ... Collective farmers, yo-mine. Reminds of the installation of the signaling "at the dealer" ...
