In our wonderful city, it turned out to be absolutely impossible to find a brake light on the AE92 body, and for a long time (they have been looking for it for half a year, not a single company has brought it). And the teammate has a problem - the right hind foot is in a terrible state, all assembled from pieces, like a mosaic. So I decided to give him something nice for his birthday, especially since he periodically helps me with a typewriter, to give a whole stop. Well, since we didn’t have them in the city, I started looking in the “neighborhoods”, namely in Irkutsk and Novosibirsk. One remarkable Irkutsk company reported that ", unfortunately, they do not have, but their Novosibirsk branch has a list of their contacts." Having contacted the above company and compared with other offers, it was decided to order from them.
They talked to me nicely, sent details, money was transferred, the goods were sent. Already a day after the transfer of funds, I, until I was happy, received a parcel from the transport company. And what was my disappointment when I saw that the headlamp had obvious defects and damage.
Namely: the headlight mounting stud is broken off, deep scratches over the entire surface, a piece of plastic is broken off and a crack on the glass. To my letter to the sender that it would be nice to inform about these flaws before sending, I did not receive an answer.
Sadly, I decided not to send it back now. Fortunately, there is still time, you can try to fix something. On the other hand, it is ugly to give an incomplete thing.
It was decided: I will give my own headlight (which was done today), and this one - to restore and install myself (which was done a few days earlier).
In the photos in sequence:

1. First, the hairpin was broken. Thanks to another teammate, another whole was provided. The old one was soldered out, the new one was cut to the desired length and glued in (the closest in the photo).

8. For greater reliability, reinforced with "snot" (glue stick) from the inside ...

9. ... and for aesthetic pleasure, as well as to hide the inaccuracies of fit, from the outside.

10. The final point is waterproofing with silicone sealant.

Well, in conclusion - thanks to the same teammate, the headlight was polished, and it turned out that the old one was also nice to polish, because the light became brighter)
