The first problem after buying a Brand ... - Toyota Mark II, 2.5 liter, 1989

The first problem after buying a Brand - Toyota Mark II 25 liter 1989

And now the first day of owning a Mark, a more detailed inspection of everything was made, the interior was cleaned, and the mirrors, seats, etc. were adjusted. for yourself. I drove the car out of the box to the parking lot and went to work on a difficult day in anticipation of the evening and the first test drive.

The day is spent, I go to the parking lot to start Mark, and in response there is silence, the battery has sat down in the trash, well, I think, apparently, before the sale, they put a dead battery and go ahead. We lit a cigarette, went home normally, or rather, very normal, the first impression of the car was excellent. At home I put a knowingly live battery, it starts up without problems. It was getting dark ...

Morning, start, the same picture, lighting, work. At work, every hour, two, three or four I check the factory, everything is fine. During the night of parking, the battery dies vhlam.
I started scanning the forums for such a malfunction, from a more suitable "undercharge", checking the generator showed that it was in perfect order, the battery was charging.

So, having spent about a week, I decided to look for a malfunction myself, took a multimeter and began to measure everything that fell under the "probes", began to look for a leak and that's what I found, I disconnect all the left consumers (radio, signaling), i.e. nothing burns and does not work, in the gap between the minus of the battery and the minus terminal I hang an ammeter, and it shows a leak of 1.33 amperes (on the same machine I measured with the same conditions, it was 0.04 amperes) then I start to pull out in the fuse box one by one the fuses and now the load on the EFI fuses drops to 0.05 amperes, which should have been proven, then we begin to look for what exactly in the EFI circuit can give such a load, I continue to pull the fuses and relays, and here again, I pull the EFI relay, and it it was very hot, I check the control voltage on this relay, but it is not, What means? and if I read that it is stuck, I disassemble it, and then the whole interior has simply fused into one whole, we put a new relyuha, and here it is, happiness, everything began to work as it should.

PS I did not find out the reason for the sticking of the relay, possibly from time to time.
And there is an assumption that it was for this reason that the car was thrown to its own devices in the yard, and did not drive it ...

It is necessary to shoot absolutely everything :)
I had only the insulation and the wiring harness.

and you took off the beard and took out the radiator. There you have to unscrew the whole box and the amplifier pipe has been tried twice and did not give

Finally I found a way, and the electricians are smearing the slopes and x. hammer into the ear that 0.26 amperes is within reason (. We will pull the fuses))) Thank you ...

there was about a similar situation. Relyushka ate current on the headlights. For two days I ran around the car with a multimeter, like with a tambourine =))
