Music part II - Toyota Corolla, 1.4 L, 2007
Now it's time for the second part of improving my audio system. This time, the head unit and the front acoustics were replaced.
And so the choice of the head unit arose. After much deliberation and weighing all the pros and cons, I settled on the Alpine IVA-W502R .
Since the Alpine trademark is well-known and strongly associated with solid, high-quality and high-class equipment. This company is especially famous for its head units, which have excellent sound, recognizable, interesting and original design and high reliability.
Since it was supposed to build a powerful system, it was decided to use components of the famous Italian company Hertz, as the most appropriate to this concept. But power is not the only parameter. And Hertz HSK 165.4 was bought as a front speaker
Modern acoustic systems of the Hi-Energy line, already the fourth generation, have been deeply modernized, diffusers of many models are made of fiberglass and, accordingly, have a number of advantages in terms of acoustic parameters.
We also purchased a transition frame and a block for controlling the standard buttons on the steering wheel. But these are little things.
And so, after purchasing all this, the car went to the installation.
Frontal acoustics were installed in regular places with the manufacture of wooden spacers and soundproofing of the front doors in three layers. Podiums were also made for high-frequency speakers on mirror squares and covered with leather. It was connected through the already installed Hertz EP4 amplifier .
Next, a head unit was installed with a wire for the I-Pod in the upper glove compartment and a button adapter connected. Here are some photos of what happened:

Evening view
The backlight matches the main one and looks pretty nice in the evening.
Since after the installed subwoofer, the rear shelf rattled very much and the pressure from the subwoofer did not reach the salon, it was decided to make the rear shelf enlightenment and glue it. For this, a hole was made in the rear shelf, a frame was made in place of the hole and sheathed with radio fabric.
Well, lastly, a general view
In my opinion, the overall design turned out to be rather conservative and discreet, but this idea was pursued from the very beginning. The end result and the sound of the new audio system amazed me. Compared to the standard, this is heaven and earth. Well, at the next stage, the rear acoustics will probably be replaced, while the standard and installation of the IMPRINT PXA-H100 audio processor remains there.
Yeah, I heard THIS play! And it feels like you got to the concert of the group that is currently playing in the car!
This is just unreal!
SIMPLY CLASS!
TOKA 5!
Well, okay, okay, I already envy)))) (with good envy, of course) ... a nickle for this system)
And how it sounds! As Lyokha turned it on, I got the feeling that I was in some kind of club, like the Opera))
The sound is just great !
Yes, yesterday I just didn’t calm down, I broke your model in the internet. The site had information that in different stores and regions the price ranges from 39000r to 47000r. I choked. But I'm not one of those people who say like, FUCK THIS MAFON NEEDED? A very serious machine. Having money, I would also take one, I would not be stingy)
well, I can say that the price of the Alpine is quite serious (about 38) but the sound is also amazing)
This is a bandura! I was happy with my sales as a child ... and I confess I am still happy))) And here is such an ALPINE! And what about the price of the question? Modest?))) Tomorrow all your stars are from me)
Well, maybe it will be better, but after installing the percentage, you felt the difference?
I would remove the rear speakers altogether. And the PXA-H100 would force them to work on the front lines. I have a simpler head (Alpine CDA-9884R) and PXA-H100 percent. The front speakers will be installed Alpine SPR-176A and the sub 10 Alpine is also not installed yet. Before that, the fielder played amazingly. Good luck!
Loudness has disappeared, but a lot of things have appeared. After tuning on the machine, I was shocked. The bass has almost disappeared in my understanding. But if you think about it, then on instrumental music it should be so. On rock and pop, there is probably a little lack of bass. Percent first of all gives an idea of how it should be and provides ample opportunities for customization. It's a great thing.
It is very good. Mine behaves unstably in frost below 15 degrees, often freezes. And after 1.5 hours on the highway it often overheats due to the fact that the stove is nearby. An acquaintance sells just such equipment, says that it is their disease
in the cold, Alpine behaves great, the display does not freeze, the touch screen is also no problem. Only the sub freezes, at first it gives out something incomprehensible, but when it warms up everything is normalized.
I insist on a pokanalka, it can even be done without a probe, your head allows you to resolve a three-ruble note and a sub using one trick. Hertz cross is not very good, it spoils the sound well, I sincerely advise! the difference will be enormous!
Good system came out! Probably the best I've seen on a 2din Alpine head on the entire Drive2! Well done! I will build something similar) 5+
