disassemble! - Toyota Land Cruiser, 2.8 L, 1992
I began to disassemble a little. Recently, a bad thing was discovered. I drove into the garage on all-wheel drive, I can't push it with my hands, I can't turn off the front end! I had such crap on "ARO" - different gear ratios in the bridges. I hung the car, began to count and there is: front 4.875, rear 4.6. Polez in the Internet, on 72s with a 3L engine should be 4.875. So either the whole axle was stuck with another, or the pair in the rear axle was changed much without worrying about the difference in gear ratios! I have already found a couple, it remains to change. The body needs to be slightly welded in the area of the sills and rear arches. I threw out the bumpers and footpegs. Clicks when reversing, removed and disassembled the box, - a tooth is broken on the gear.
The muffler partly needs to be changed, partly I'll weld it myself. I removed and serviced the fuel tank inside and outside, as well as the underwater tubes and the level sensor.maybe, but I wrote about Niva :) And in the absence of diffs, it tears something else :)
I just read about such a deplorable practice :(
The process started :) The first forms of the monster can be seen :) It also turned out for me that different GPUs in the bridges ... fortunately, they noticed ... everything could be very deplorable :(
I have already found the gears, I think the difference in gears can break something only on the asphalt, on soft soils it is not dangerous, but the permeability deteriorates. With all-wheel drive, the front end did not have time for the rear, slowed down.
They are tearing everything on the ground! Definitely need to be put as it should. We have one on the UAZ with all the locks at the exit from the ford tore the box casing. the iron roof was smashed and fragments of the basket were found 50 meters from the car! By the way, over the weekend, the rear axle on TLK -73 was torn in the snow (the consequences of summer competitions) I did not expect it! According to rumors from the Internet and from my own experience, this was not observed on NISSANs.
If you have a desire and free time you can do it yourself. When you see the work done and everything worked out, you experience great satisfaction.
such a car should be made once, and then it will carry you without any stress and problems. and you are well done, you can see that you are good at repairing. I have a podzhatanny cefirik: there and with the box, something is not all right kicks hard, and the fuel system does not work correctly, but I'm afraid to get into these things =)) I'm not a master in repairs yet. but once you show and tell me, then I can do everything myself =)
