Dashboard Lights - Toyota Curren, 2.0L, 1998
Well, actually I'm tired of something barely glowing in the area of the tachometer / speedometer and decided to do it!
Dismantled and removed the light filters using a solvent
The arrows are removed with two teaspoons.
12v smd leds were bought from the store
soldered and installed like this
the LED strips have 3M adhesive tape on the back, but just in case, I still grabbed them with liquid glue from a pistol (like liquid plastic).
After two more strips I glued them to illuminate the odometer, I also thought I would get rid of the uneven illumination of some numbers, but it didn't work out - it is necessary to change the plastic to plexiglass ...
I haven’t figured out how to do it successfully yet… I’m still thinking about this moment!
it became like this :)
the first 2 days it was cool, after I wanted something innovative - for example, adjusting the brightness of the backlight and smoothing it on ... we do garbage question :) and also it was necessary to think about protecting the LEDs from voltage drops.
On the Internet, a circuit was found on the lm317 transistor
the circuit was recalculated for me, the r2 resistor became variable to adjust the brightness. Everything is compactly soldered and stuffed into the car :)
I adjusted the brightness for myself - it became much better than before, but not the ultimate dream, so wait for the continuation.
well, lastly, the video
