Heated side mirrors. - Toyota Ipsum, 2.0L, 1999
It's bad that there are no regular heated mirrors. So you have to modernize everything yourself. To modernize the heated mirrors, we need:
STAFF HEATING OF SEATS (I bought from VAZ ... - on the market I asked to sell what unnecessary -incomplete- 200 rubles
We only need a heating element from them. I can find a tungsten filament + it is with insulation.
We remove the mirrors and take them home.
Now we need to remove the mirror.
There is a simple way, but since I did not know it yet. I filmed with a hair dryer
He heated a plastic bezel around the edges of the mirror and slowly pulled back the mirror.
So it came loose.
Method number 2
Just pull harder on the bottom of the mirror.
There are latches -see photo-
We remove the paper. Note where the wires will go. Degrease.
Now with the help of the ORACAL film (see the logbook - pansies -) on the back of the mirror we lay out how the heating element will pass.
And now we fix everything with the same film. Heat from the top with a hairdryer and iron.
Cut off the excess film around the edges. Now, again, with the help of a hair dryer, we snap the rear cover.
Now the tedious thing is to lay the wires to power. We unscrew these at the bolt ... their mother. I was worn out to take it off.
Snap the mirror into place - DONE

Puffing does not puff because at a voltage of
12v, the
power is 10W, the current is 3.3a, the
resistance is 3.7ohm
There, the insulation will not allow the network to close - and if there is a fuse for that.
I did the check, I connected it to the charger at night.
The film, yes, became elastic, but we only needed it to maintain the shape of the heater when connected to the back plate of the mirror + the film, no matter how it protects the insulator from moisture and heat. Everything is okay. One minus of the glue, if it falls away from shaking somewhere, it will fall off along with the reflective paint, the result is a jamb on the mirror.
I adhere to the ease of mantling and the same ease of demounting
well, just for the future ... the mirror heats up pretty much and I'm afraid the film might puff, though not flammable, but it will melt
Well, let it float - the back part is well fixed there. The heating element is insulated. But thanks for the advice. All the same, you need glue when the tungsten thread is without insulation.
oracle will float ... it was necessary to use heat-resistant glue ... for example there is one for radiators. 100rub tube 50g. Holds up to 330 degrees
