Balance Master - Toyota Sprinter Trueno, 1.6 L, 2005

The third day I put freshly bought tires.
On the advice of a friend, I decided to check the correct tire changer, where, as I was told, one mega-master works, who has few equal. The friend, it should be noted, did not deceive.

Master Alexander for more than 50 years knows everything about the subject, and obviously loves his work.
In the era of the superpower, a person worked as a balancer at the plant. Khrunichev - balanced gyroscopes, turbines and other aerospace.
Well, after the defeat of the domestic military-industrial complex in a deep coma, he had to look for an application for himself - he took up the tire fitting business. It is clear that after the turbines, wheel balancing is a kindergarten, but the master has not changed his attitude to his work.

After going to the usual sharash-installation, the template breaks thoroughly, I watched the process with sincere amazement.

First, before balancing, the wheels are thoroughly washed in a special vehicle. It is pleasant to work with such a disc, and dirt does not contribute to balancing.

Then the tire is mounted on the disc and pumped to 4-5 atmospheres, then it goes down to 2 so that the rubber settles.
As it turns out, the rubber may not shrink the first time. Or it can sit down from the 2nd or even 4th time.

To balance such a wheel is not a problem, as Alexander says, you can balance anything in general.
But it is important, after all, that it does not walk, but rolls smoothly.

For balancing, the master uses the correct machine, which knows how to adjust itself, and this must be done every day in order to avoid the oncoming error with the work. I wonder if all those who consider themselves masters of tire fitting know the word "adjustment".
The accuracy of the machine is 1 gram. So, on one of my wheels, he determined weights of 6 and 9 grams.

So the rubber can immediately "not sit down", and then it is not a sin - to remove the tire and turn it, for example, a certain degree around the disc.
And by the way, the nipple of the disc weighs 25 grams, and this natural weight can also be taken into account in the process.

The rubber that was not worn outright blows again, this time at greater pressure, and again on the machine - and so on until it sits down.
My 2 new tires sat down as they should (according to the master) only from the second run - I had to turn them a little.

At the end of the process, my old rubber, already washed in a mega-car, was carefully placed in the trunk in special bags.

He left the master with a sense of deep respect. It always pleases when a person loves his profession, and does the work with diligence, himself rejoicing in a good result. The money given for the work is not a pity for a ruble.

Well, now I have half a thousand kilometers of neat running-in, so that the spikes fall into place. We should be in time before the weekend.
