Xenon fog lights ... - Toyota Carina ED, 2.0 L, 1994

Xenon fog lights - Toyota Carina ED 20 L 1994

Our cars have such a disease as the yellowness of the headlights! All this comes from the fact that the headlight is not glass, but made of plastic. The second factor is the combination of fog lights and headlights in one ... Although I do not consider this a disadvantage, it is precisely because of these two factors that the headlight begins to give off yellowness over time. I'll tell you how I cured it. + also existed his old dream, it is to stick xenon into tumanki. This is not an easy task, since the fog lights on our cars are arranged so that yellow light is not given by lamps, but by yellow caps built into the reflector! To remove them, you need to unscrew a couple of bolts, but to unscrew these bolts, you need to unsolder the headlight, separate the body from the plastic reflector ... then unscrew the mirror reflectors and after that unscrew the same bolts that hold the yellow caps ... Well, since I took up the headlights, then I decided to remove the yellow from the headlights, for this I had to take very fine sandpaper, from 1000 to 2000 and wipe the entire headlight, to a matte shade. You shouldn't try too hard either, because you can wipe off the headlight layer, and after polishing you will see ovals and abrasions, so I didn't abuse it ... Then we take a polishing paste and polish with a special machine. After disassembling and polishing, we assemble the headlights back ... At Toyota Eksiv, you don't need to disassemble the headlight to pull out the yellow cap, it can be done indiscriminately, all because the headlights for these cars are made by different companies ... Some Ichikon, the second Koito ... Well, okay back ... Disassembly and assembly was carried out using a building hair dryer, heating the gluing units. Do not overdo it with heating, as you can melt the headlight! It's plastic ... Someone advised to heat it in the oven at 100 degrees, but I didn’t agree to such experiments… all of a sudden I’ll get a burnt pie, not a headlamp))) I collected everything, and put xenon under tumanok lamps, H2 as far as I remember. Well, the final stage, I went to the stand and the fog light was adjusted for me ...))) Some photos are not mine, tk. when working with your headlights, there was no opportunity to make a photo report ... Issue price 0, except for the purchased xenon for 3000 rubles.

not bad, I also polished the plastic at my place, but I didn't put the biksenon on the tumanku and at the moment I put the angel eyes so just for fun I want five for the work done. By the way, the headlight can be disassembled. held for about five minutes then disconnected it into hot glue as the gum becomes but quickly turns to stone, so it is better not to tighten)
