News from the lab — project implementation Side Assist
Well, look at the history :-) — from known (and perhaps not known) that our team has successfully implemented the project on installation of coloured panels on cars PQ35 platform — specifically to the model line of Skoda. (color panels which were never issued by the factory)
This revision is certainly not very budget and some users though have expressed rave reviews on the work done, however, lamented the fact that she wore only aesthetic in nature, and in a crisis you can ride without aesthetics.
In part, they're right of course — if at this stage to make a point, but the true meaning of this revision is wore deeper meaning. And this meaning was to finish the projects before the end to realize it was impossible without a change skodowski panel because of its limited functionality.
What about the projects in question:
— assistant of the retaining strip + beam assist + recognition of road signs (currently successfully implemented by our team)
assistant adaptive cruise control (next in line)
assistant assistance when rebuilding (that's exactly what it will be today)
To implement the project Side Assist until the end, I did not have time, in connection with the sale of my car and all the work on this (and not only) project were curtailed until better times :-)

But back to Side Assist — the essence of the problem in project implementation is the lack of led light indication of work of an assistant, as well as the inability to control them due to the lack of control menu in the dashboard.
If you look at the panel in a disassembled state the first thing we will see is the lack of soldered LEDs and respective limiting resistors (on the panel Tiguan wiring was missing from the factory — to see the save)

The yellow led is intended to signal the limitation of the health system — but not because of errors occurring in its work, and through work, another support system — the tow bar!

After editing softovoi of the panel have a menu assistant control panel and led display of the work of an assistant.
Since all the work was carried out on the stand — the menu item is inactive (due to a communication error with the ABS unit)
for the same reasons there is no possibility to check and the yellow led (not connected to the tow bar), to inspect the operation indication included of assistant through a test performers in SideAssist
well, through the test, we checked the indication in one of the mirrors

As for me, I'm guided by the existing developments in the near future I will try to adapt the job of this assistant together with a native black and white skodowski panel — maybe ))))
