Windshield splash cleaning - Toyota Carina E, 2.0L, 1992
My sprinkles clogged. the valve stopped holding water. because of this, water splashed on the glass not immediately, but with a 2-3 second delay, which is simply not acceptable in the current weather and pits.
We arranged a meeting with a friend and came to the conclusion:
You need to clean the trail with the following means:
1. diluted contactless washing (alkaline medium washes away dirt well)
2. 15% citric acid solution -15g lemon per 100g of water. It is advisable to use a hot solution. (lemon removes scale and salts. All citric acid salts are highly soluble)
3. alcohol.
I didn't have the first remedy. Therefore, I soaked the sprinklers in the lemon (with douching inside) for 15 minutes. Then he blew it under pressure with alcohol. He blew with a tubule from a basin and a syringe. As a result, I put the spray bottle on a 1m long tube - the water from the tube did not leave a single millimeter. + the fan is fuller.
You must have:
1. a tube from VAZ 1m (for control - I'm not sure if the stock sprinklers have a valve) and 10cm (for flushing)
2. alcohol 100ml
3. liquid for contactless washing
4. 15g citric acid 5.filtered
or distilled water
6. syringe (preferably 10 ml)
7. containers for solutions (I used plastic cups)
I am planning a complete cleaning of the system in the spring. Removing and washing the barrel, pump, and most likely replacing the entire line with a silicone one.
