Recaro bucket inside and out! - Toyota Corolla Levin, 2.0L, 1989
Well, let's start, perhaps, from the very beginning, how the idea arose to make a bucket and why to make, and not buy a ready-made one.
Needed the need for a Bucket after riding the Red Ring. Thrown all over the car.
Then I looked at the prices for new and used ones from Yapi and was somehow disappointed.
I decided to do it myself.
Hands seem to grow from the right place. It remains only to find what to do with. For a long time I asked everyone to borrow a bucket to remove the matrix, but they all refused and there were a million reasons not to give it. And, once an acquaintance said that his friend had a RECARO Bucket matrix, I was delighted.
I took the matrix. He began to study the technology of sculpting from glass mat. I bought all the necessary materials, Resin with a hardener, Gelkaut and the glass mat itself, spared money for wax, bought a candle (a separate story about how I smeared it on it, everything comes with experience)
I prepared everything.
I smeared it with a candle, applied Gelkaut and immediately began to lay fiber and saturate it with resin. (What does this mean? That I did not study the technology well, in general, I did not know that I had to wait for the Gelkaut to dry up)
The first pancake is lumpy. but it's okay, let's make another one.
And the second time it turned out very well.
It turned out in two approaches, about 6 layers.
Then there was a lull for a couple of months and again into battle. He took out a dusty, unfinished bucket. It was decided to cut off all the rags, make holes for the belts and fasteners, for the slide, or rather the adapters that are screwed onto the slide.
It remains to fit.
Continuation!
I made patterns.
Well, we look at the photo, which is not clear we ask.
no matter what you muddied the test now you can open a company 5-k definitely, so
there will be no sofa in the back now what is the minus of these buckets for the coupe
There will be one 2pav bucket. And most likely I will only put it on races. Or for the racing season.
2augmented. Unfortunately, the matrix is not mine and I will have to give it back. I think then it will be possible to remove the matrix from mine and sculpt these buckets for the people.
Everything is in progress. patterns made. I bought some foam rubber. it remains only to find a suitable fabric.
I'll add some pictures.
Maniac! :) you seem to be able to build anything at all. There would be a desire :)
It turned out very well, right now, I also found a bucket, a friend has a question how to make the satrice move away from the product, in addition to the candle there is something more reliable, I just want to remove the bumper, and there is something scary to get to repaint.
Now I use special wax. And I do not recommend a candle. I just couldn't do it and did it as best I could.
read here. everything is written in detail there.

I express my deepest gratitude! - in terms of confirming that the bucket can be made by yourself! I have a frame and I calculated the dimensions for myself, but I did not dare to do it. but after what I saw I understand that in vain! the question is - do they show themselves well in operation?
no matter how strange it may sound, he glued it a little wider))) and stopped interfering. gave it to a friend. Put it in CRX and drives. and got another one for myself.
you take off the plastics and that's it. they snap into each other from different sides.
You can't tell me how you can remove the cover on it, there are some kind of plastic incomprehensible on the sides (((
No. The bucket that was sculpted for a long time is sold, now there is the original Bride.
Hey. There is no front and back. This is a one-piece product without any reinforcements. Strength is achieved due to the shape and curvature at the edges.
hi! =))) it turned out awesome! or can you tell me, did you make any amplifiers between the layers of products (front and back parts)? like metal strips bent in shape? or is it just hollow?
