Leaked ... - Toyota 4Runner, 3.0 L, 1995

Apparently from age, frost and vibrations "the poet's soul could not bear it" and began to drip from the cracks of one of the hoses of the power steering hydraulic system. For several days, my father drove with this in a car, and, in view of the lack of time to solve the problem, I simply had to periodically top up ATFs in the power steering. Today he looked at what is there and how, where it is dripping from and how it can be temporarily cured, before replacing the hoses.

I had to put several clamps with a rubber "patch" on the hose. Let's see how it will hold.

We will change, of course, over time ... just in our Runner you don't know which hole to patch now. :about)

and what prevents to change hoses?
I have already replaced half of it due to constant leaks of coolant ...
I will say for sure temporary patches can fail at the most inopportune moment! ;-)
