For the entire time of owning a car, I was never satisfied with low beam. It seems that the optics are lensed, and the headlight is clean, but it still shines pale, you had to strain your eyes, not to mention driving on the highway. The situation was slightly improved by xenon, but after traveling for almost a year, I decided that it was time to do something about it.

Although I am not a fan of doing something with my own hands, I got a little time and mood. Thanks to this, I got out of the garage the battered headlights without fasteners, which were given to me by one Moscow clubmate, for which many thanks to him. Then I disassembled with little agony of the donor. his headlight and began to watch how they can be mixed. Despite the fact that the state of the broken headlight is outwardly awful, the lens in it is absolutely transparent. Then I took mine and was surprised to say the least. From the outside (convex) the surface of the lens is a little rough, because of this it is a little unclear in the light. Only one comparison comes to mind, as if she had been rubbed with very fine sandpaper. It seems to me that this will remain a mystery why this could happen to glass.

After cleaning the headlight, I cleaned the lens from dirt, my prints with alcohol and started assembling.

The photo shows how the lens distorts the color of the paper by letting in less light, a normal lens does not.

It remains to carry out the same procedure with the second headlight, the lens there is also cloudy.

As a result, even with one normally luminous on the road, you can now see everything, I don't strain my eyes, it's a pleasure to drive on the highway.

The next step is now a tin can, most likely, I am looking for a balanced version. So far, they have offered 5k rubles. for an even front.
Prior to that, they offered 5400 for the front and rear panels.
