The second life of rear reflectors - diodes to replace the standard rear PTF - Toyota Corolla, 1.6 L, 2007
Well, finally got around to describing what he had done.
I want to immediately say thank you to the people from whom I got the idea - this is Andrei Mikhalev, Yekaterinburg and many others, with the world on a string, as they say.
For a long time I figured out what could be done so that it was not like everyone else and, moreover, was practical. I decided to combine and make it so that the reflector in everyday life was for beauty, and at the right time was useful, now I have both the size and the rear fog light, because sometimes I really need it.
The idea is there - it's time to implement it. Two hours on paper and the order, the arrangement of the diodes turned out, I have 36 of them in one reflector, 12 of which are dimensions with a less intense glow with a suppressed resistance, and if you need tumanki, then the remaining 24 are connected to them with radiation well, about 80% ( left a reserve so to speak just in case)
Well, now what I bought and what came of it:
The LEDs bought what was with the maximum glow angle, the resistances were selected, since the exact parameters of the diodes, except for the angle, were not known
I also bought a corrugation for additional protection of wires
and special cut-in connectors for connection without breaking the insulation of the main wires

The location of the diodes, glued into the holes with a sealant, three pieces in series
Location of resistances. Resistances of 0.25, although they say that 0.125 will also survive, but just in case. Resistances are soldered to the plus side
The back part is assembled, filled with sealant, on top of a plastic cover from a glass of sour cream - fixes the wires
Well, here's what happened. Photographed in different lighting conditions. The brightness of the glow is not completely, as it was powered from the crown
There are no pictures on the car, I haven’t put it yet, the weather doesn’t give, but I think it will be nice. Entering inside, as Andrey Mikhalev said, can be done by removing the taillight.

I go out and see a picture! .. The lamps are off! The machine does not open from the button! And only the diodes in the rear tumankah blink!
He got behind the wheel and turned off the light! He twisted the key ... and the patient is more likely dead than alive!)))

I took off Akuma and charged it! I went home in a taxi!
But when the battery was in place and I started the car ...
Here I got scared ...!
When starting on a cold engine, I did not want to raise the revs above 750! Well, for warming up!) And when you turn on the headlights and wipers, it seems that it will stall! Everything was crunching and trembling! But stubbornly did not deaf!
And when it warmed up, it completely lowered the revs to 500-400!
In short, to break your head, I call OD explaining ... they say so and so. the cow has forgotten how to ride!
And they say to me, do not worry, she will remember how to drive through 150 km. Well, if not, come and do everything! I was thinking! But you have to go! To my surprise after 15 km. everything worked out! And the turnover in the number and everything is ok!
And this whole story once again reminded where we are and where the Japanese are!)))

Clearly, I also had a cant with a battery, but not as critical as yours, I came to the sea, and drove through a tunnel, and did not turn off the headlights (this is a big jamb of Japanese compared to Germans who, when the ignition is turned off, the maximum that remains to burn - these are the dimensions) melted, but they could not leave, thanks to the man in the jeep, he had wires with him - he lit a cigarette. But the truth started up with a kick floor and drove fine
so the headlights go out on the Corolla, only the dimensions remain, at least for me.

I also took off the reflectors a week ago, twisted it and changed my mind about doing anything. they just reflect, and in the headlights it will not be visible at all that there are diodes! and I was also stopped by the fact that I made a fog light elsewhere.

And the reflectors are really visible, even during the day, of course, not in sunlight, but in cloudy weather, at night finally a bomb, with the dimensions turned on, the non-luminous part in the form of a cross stands out clearly
