Installation of mechanics W58 - Toyota Mark II, 2.5 L, 1993
Kit box W58 was purchased from TOYOTA SUPRA JZA80 ( 2JZ-GE )
SPEC clutch
I started the installation with the pedals… I completely bent over and cut off the brake pedal, threw out the wide rubber band and had to buy pads. I put an overlay. Threw out the parking brake pedal!
It was much more interesting with the clutch pedal, I could not find it anywhere, even being in Ussuriisk in any market and did not find it (maybe I was looking badly, there was not much time).
As a result, somewhere on some sort of analysis in the bowels of Novosibirsk, chayzer 90 and sprinter 100 met, who were peacefully resting before my visit there. The sprinter was on mechanics. I wondered if the pedal would fit? I asked the disassembler to remove and try on the Kettle. It almost came! Well, I took it for lack of a better one.
In the garage, having smashed my head a little, mega gomyr started ... that is, the pedal did not fit at all, and the bracket came up through two holes out of 3, the slave cylinder came up, but access to the tank is not super convenient, but oh well.
I cut the bracket, and welded the insert (no photo), got up like a native, tried on the pedal, also cut it lengthwise and across, welded it and bent it for a long time in such a shape to meet the requirements of high-quality squeezing.
As a result, it turned out like this:
For a while I rode with three pedals, but on the machine, well, you can't stick everything all at once, not so much time.
But suddenly my automatic transmission felt that she was not here for a long time, showed off for the last time, stopped turning on the 3rd gear, hinting that she was dead!
This only accelerated my zeal in installing the manual transmission
I installed a flywheel. There, such bolts are interesting not with 6 faces, but with 12, and since I put the flywheel late in the evening, the search for such a head was a little delayed and was a separate adventure (but that's another story ...)
Then I started wiring, you need to know what speed, and so that when the reverse gear is turned on, the reverse lights are on.
Firstly I found in connector automatic selector two magic contact responsible for the lock start in any position selector except "P" or "N"
And also found a pair which is responsible for displaying the rear transmission (lit "R" beeping pikalka and burning torches adjustable travel) and made a conclusion to a new connector, which after connecting to the reverse sensor at the gearbox.
And the launch lock was closed with a special clip for wiring.
Ensuring ready, moving on to the clutch ...
Put the disc and basket, and what to center? So it does not fit ... (there is no primary organization)! I went to the turners, for 100 rubles they made me an installation sleeve (primary), but it did not fit, a mistake of 0.5 mm in diameter.
I was upset because it was night again, and at night you can't sharpen it anywhere ... But suddenly an idea came to me to relax the basket and center it with the box itself, and this was certainly not the easiest way, but it helped. Having centered, I carefully removed the box on the boards prepared in advance under it. He tightened the basket.
When trying to install the box, I came across such a moment that the slide does not fit into the hole for the selector
It was decided ... CUT!
Neatly, with a canvas, I cut it for a long time and dreary, somehow I didn't really want to work with a grinder in the salon
Installed the slave cylinder and bleed the clutch hydraulic system
The installation is complete, but there is still a problem with noise and dirt.
The welding machine was again in my hands, I had to make a cover for the wings so that only the lever would stick out. From above, he pulled the cut off top from the anther of the steering rod. And sealed everything with a thick layer of noise insulation
Result
Later, a "correct" handbrake was bought and a box with which it stands up, a leather cover will be made for the wings
Price tag: 30 000 ₽Ahhh… Theme… This is the second part of the Marlezon ballet with my mark. First the suspension, then the box, then the suprovskaya three-liter pipe ... Or 1.5 jay at the extreme ...
How in general after the machine?
ZY You are on taurerv ... there is the same theme and the pictures are the same))))
ZYY You alone did all this?
Class ... Listen, I was always interested in the question ... how does the Japanese broom switch? Mirror, or similar to everyone else? That is, the first is left and up?
A very noticeable difference, 200 strong Vvt-i brands in 100 bodies brought several bodies
Yes, I am in the Novosibirsk branch of the TurerVi club ...
Yes, I did one in some places where friends help, where hands are not enough.
Well, my painter is a friend, I myself am not very good at painting
Yes, just like the right one without any problems ... Well, before the Japanese, I had Russian cars, and I didn't drive a lot.
How does the left work? At first, probably unusual? Although, as I understand it, your first car there in Russia is Japanese - exactly like everyone else ...
I'm sorry. But given the amount of work done, I'm sure you will succeed with interest!
there are no pictures since I did not have time to finish, and now the floor of the cabin needs new
Titanic work! Just done! How many rubles did you swap out? And if there are pictures of the finished salon, how it is decorated
this is not Getrag - 6 stupy from the turbo supra ...
this is W58 - 5 stepping from the atmosphere of the supra ... it is cheaper than R154
Ohren how many works done, I was impressed by the love for the car and the neat work with the canvas on metal, instead of the grinder, I know what it is, how the hand, shoulders dry up and how many mats it is! with the pedal, too, the same troubles were, once I did not find my own on the Corolla when swaping on the box, but the rear-wheel drive is definitely more fuss. You were very lucky, where did you grab a wonderful 6-step box so cheaply? super box. I was looking for the usual R154 for about a month actively, with an ordinary cherry, I wanted to start the same project and the Tourer S with a handbrake was no longer wrung out, I also found a distributor in the 90m favorite body of NOOO, the prices for a swap set from 60 to 90 thousand! kick-ass. For example, a cardan can be found separately, with the rest of the problem, no one even wanted to sell the box separately, just a set ... :( Well done, you don't mind the highest score.
Strangely, some kind of error, estimates for this topic for some reason are not put, try to change it, save it again ... maybe an error on the page.
So it's been a long time since the prices have increased, and fur 58 is cheaper than 154
mmm. and where is the manual transmission at such a price?)
I would also like fur and the prices of PPC. (
From what supra cardan? Now my swap is delayed, I changed my mind about welding the cardan!

Of course, a lot of time has passed for you, since the moment the box swap, you may not remember, but in the colors tell me which wires to close for the position P and N (like black and white, if I'm not mistaken), but you can't see the reverse gear :( and I have not finished reading yet, well ooooo, a very long topic on TurerVI on swap boxes ... maybe I'll find there where they wrote ... but so far it is very relevant))
Throw off the link to the tourer vi by swap plz, I did not find
uh ... that is, do the wires go from the box to the gur? =) I stuck the chip into the box just in case ... and on the other hand insulated them) And how to connect the speedometer? And the sensor of the included speed is also where it is? Or am I confusing that? =)
It's not on the box, it's on the power steering valve (on 100 bodies, it goes through the motor braid and connects near the starter, there is a valve right on the power steering hose)
RPoison
you have 100 body to lock the starter, you should have black and white and red and white
Can you tell me more, if not difficult? On the wire that you said everything went well, there were no problems! But I didn't even think about the speed sensor ... in the end, the speedometer does not seem to be: (I have three wires from one chip left on the box, can you tell me who is who and where to put them? :) Unfortunately, by the colors, I did it, and I didn't remember what they were ... I remember exactly that one is red-blue, the second seems to be white with some other color, well, I don't remember the third at all :(
you have 100 body to lock the starter, you should have black and white and red and white
Thank you very much))) one of these days I will bet, I hope I will switch those ... as well as I will take them to reverse)) I’m not very good friends with the schemes, I can of course be poor, but I don’t know where to look for them ... although I’m lying here too ... I know how to google)) just from those who have already dealt with this, besides successfully had, it is easier to ask than to shovel the Internet in search of all this;))
Well, I forgot - I didn’t forget because I do not only swaps for myself and not only boxes… You
open the circuit and everything is clear… You don’t need to close P and N! And two wires for the rear will have to be taken out (red-black and red-blue) You
also need to bridge two wires for blocking the starter (usually black and black and white, but they may differ by years - they are easier to identify by the chip - there are 8 small pins and two larger - these two are they)
Of course, a lot of time has passed for you, since the moment the box swap, you may not remember, but in the colors tell me which wires to close for the position P and N (like black and white, if I'm not mistaken), but you can't see the reverse gear :( and I have not finished reading yet, well ooooo, a very long topic on TurerVI on swap boxes ... maybe I'll find there where they wrote ... but so far it is very relevant))
Well, it just keeps it, the stock clutch is not enough, so we put on the sport.
It holds well on ceramics, but if there are more than 300 horses, then with sharp accelerations it can break the gears.
How not cool for a turbo better than R154
Hello, tell me the rumors are that w58 is boiling dry, the load is afraid. How does your box hold the Jay TT? And does not fall apart
Hello! I bought a W58 box with a supra 80, an atmosphere 2 JZ engine, I want to put 2.5 atmospheres on my mark from day to day, they say evil tongues will not work ?!
healthy! put the box, everything is nishtyak, only with a cardan, tell me what options? can you from what fits without alterations, otherwise I gave a short part of the MT supra, I gave it to weld by 3 cm, only the master is a bastard, was there a buhoy, in short like a saber cardan.
and the boot of the box and the cardan stood on top of each other? on my shaft, then everything went clearly, but in order to be correct it is necessary a little longer.
Tell me, did you find any markings on the case?
otherwise I pulled something similar to w58 out of my sx-90 with a 4s motor yesterday, but did not find the marking :(
for two liters they put 57 long
and it will be necessary: pedal, clutch master cylinder, pipe, clutch slave cylinder, flywheel, disc, clutch basket, input shaft bearing to the crankshaft, release bearing, cardan (at least the front part) and the manual transmission itself
Please tell me, I have a Cross 90 with a 1g fe engine, the automatic machine began to die, it was decided to install the mechanics, and then my head began to boil, many articles were re-read and I still cannot understand which box is mine, 55.57, or 58? I already know for sure that both 57 and 58 are put on my car, the main thing is that the shifter is removed, otherwise it will go into the ashtray. The question is: what box, and what is needed in order to throw out the machine and put the fur on, if it's not difficult then please a complete list, my machine is already going back through time, and all the speeds start to slip at a warmed-up speed after 2500 rpm, I think I have little time left.
bought from a friend ... now, in any case, prices are different then 154 for 45-50 was easily bought
The motor can be swapped without problems, but for your box you need to buy a bell, a flywheel, a basket, a disc and a plug from Supra 80 2JZ-GE MT
And there will be another motor on your box
but tell me this question -
there is a hundredth mark for 1g fe on a W58 box, but 2 liters are not enough, I want 2.5 or 3 liters.
How difficult is swap? what is needed for that ? Is it possible that the box will fit bolt into bolt? :)
yes, I got here 58 with a cable for speedak (as the seller says). are they like that?
nominally, there is exactly the same sensor as on the machine, just stuck a chip into it and that's it
I have a caroba w57 2jz engine, I put a 3s gte coupled, that does not want to work, tomorrow I will figure it out.
before that 1g of the link was on jz
because the speedometer is interested in exactly the ABS sensor that is on the automatic transmission, and this is only for 1G, JZ has the same sensor there, but this is not ABS, but SP2 on the brain
I have ABS sensors only in the front. When I bought a car, one wire was torn, the other was disconnected. The ABS error was burning and the speedometer was fully functional.
well, as you know ...
I thought I had more experience, I am still professionally engaged in tuning, and have already swapped a lot of motors and gearboxes ...
And here you are wrong. The ABS works. On the dorestaylovoy kopeck piece, the speed sensor is in the shank of the automatic transmission.
Let's start with the fact that you have a 100-body!
A 2-pin is a combined rear-wheel ABS sensor (one for both)
And you don't have any speed sensor, like on the 90 body!
In the 100th, the speedometer works according to ABS, but since you installed the mechanics, you deprived the ABS unit of one of the signals, send a signal from one of the rear wheels to the ABS unit or from both according to the scheme with 2.5 motors
Tell me which ones and in which chip the wires are responsible for turning on the buzzer and reversing lights. I need "+".
To the speed sensor, on the 90 body of the automatic transmission and manual transmission with the same sensors
Someone takes a box from the 1g engine, cuts, saws, cooks, and someone takes a box from the 2jz engine and just puts
Hello, so 58 easily fits our 2.5 engine? And I was told that it is necessary to cut the dome, weld on the old one, etc. is all this not true?
I also installed w55 and speedac does not work for me either, I also can not understand what and how to put the jumper?
I figured out already there is a big chip where they usually put a jumper there, I found the reverse gear, I just didn't figure it out with the speed The speedometer does NOT work
On the automatic transmission, the wires to the selector there are rear and to the speed sensor
how to find the wires that are responsible for the speedometer and taillights))) I have a swap shed, the previous owners swap and did not connect the speedometer and taillights
I am the only one of my friends and acquaintances who did not put the W-box on the GTE motor! Only because I knew the experience of friends and did not gesture. Quickly switched to 154
I read on the forums ... who writes what, then he calmly holds up to 350 forces (the rubber is too wide, and do not set norms), who writes that he broke it on a stock engine in a month ...
Has it already fallen apart?
Now I'm deciding what to bet on 1jz-gte (tt) - tell me whether to bet 58?
Tell a friend. They say on the W55 if you pull out this crap, where the speedometer cable is inserted, then the speed sensor will calmly take its place. I have a speedometer on my brand without a cable and a chip for three contacts hangs near the box, but the box is changing and there is no speed sensor in it, but only an "appendix" for the cable. So if I buy a speed sensor, will it get up instead of this "appendix"?
Bro help :) the photo does not really show the colors of the wires that need to be taken in reverse)) And I would like the bulbs to work))
Hi, tell me please, I have a 1jz swap on w57. There is a cable on the speedometer. Is it possible to rearrange the entire shank or the insides of the shank from the machine gun to my manual transmission with a speed sensor?
RPoison
There is little tuning, and there are childhood diseases
And what's the story with the cardan?
What's so strange about choosing a motor? turned up with the manual transmission contract and with all sorts of nishtyaki for 50 rubles.
Hey. I have a cross in the 90th body. I want to stick 1G-GTE (already purchased) there. tell me which gearbox should be installed? from turbo or from 2.5 atmosphere will go?
hi tell me how does the motor hold the clutch? and there is no chance for sale or maybe you know who to buy from?
hi! please tell me on 1jz gte from which brand is the w58 suitable? so that you can put without an adapter plate?
The difference is not in the W58 box model, but in the bell, since it was installed on both 2JZ and 1G
Hey. I still didn't get it. W58 manual transmission suitable for 2JZ-GE ? the bell doesn't need to be changed?
Written by the same Supra JZA80 capacity 2JZ-GE
Nothing altered. If such alterations took place, I would write about it.
You didn’t write how you connected the gearbox to the engine. Through the plate or without alterations, it fits into place
Hi, a very detailed article, one question, I have a 100 mark 1jz-ge automatic 5-step, I am also preparing for a swap on a 57 mechanic. So I have a speed sensor? I just heard that my speed is taken from ABC and I will not need to connect him, only reverse and jumper on N
I understand a lot of time has passed, but nevertheless, as I understand the launch lock in the photo, the wires are closed with a clip, and what and in what wire are the wires to reverse?
Nothing remains of the machine. You need to put everything from the mechanics, in this case, W58 JZ
tell me which flywheel should be installed, clutch and basket?
I can't figure out the flywheel remains from the automatic one or should I install the clutch from the W58 standard?
It's just that it's not connected at all yet. I put the box 57 and the dashboard from the machine gun remained. How to connect correctly so that everything works

Hello everyone, there is Mark weaving Restayl 1jz ge vvt (5st automatic transmission with etcs-i)
and a w58 manual transmission kit, everything is clear in those parts, tell me how the electronic throttle with manual transmission will work) there is a lot of information on the Internet about the manual transmission swap, but there is nothing about etcs i and manual transmission. Everything about a simple choke. Thanks in advance
Also, automatic brains need a sensor on the tail of the automatic transmission, and on the tail of the manual transmission another
