High revs H.H. - Toyota Corolla, 1.6 L, 2000
My first problem, which worried after purchasing this car - "zhor" gasoline. Average fuel consumption in warm weather - 14 liters. 100 km. Despite the fact that I don't press hard on the gas pedal, at least I try not to press, but sometimes it happens: D
Winter this year was very severe, the average temperature outside the window is -30. Which affected the increase in consumption to 16-18 liters. Separately, I want to note the stove, it really heats up, while it heats up just fine.
I decided to go for diagnostics.
The verdict was high RPMs of Kh.Kh., stable 1200 on a fully warmed up engine (I drove about 10 km to service). Alas, I didn’t have a tachometer up to this point in time, so I didn’t know about the revolutions, but I guessed it by ear :)
Of course, with such revolutions, and with urban traffic congestion, this fact proportionally increases the consumption.
They advised - to clean the intake manifold, throttle valve, flush the nozzles.
No sooner said than done. Having left the service, the cherished 700 for h.h., but by the evening rose to 1000, and then to 1200. I go back to the service, connect the scanner, everything seems to be fine, throw off the EFI and everything returns to normal.
On the Internet I poke at a similar problem - it is advised to set the thermostat to 88 degrees.
I buy it in Forward na Koroleva, original toyota, catalog number 90916-03063 .
We put it - the rpm on a warm engine does not fall, we change the H.H. sensor, and the rpm is almost normal ~ 800. H.Z. what the master was spinning, but then the revolutions became 700, with the 560 gear engaged.
I would like to note that now the warm-up speed starts from 1400. Is this normal?
At zero temperature after the morning, the engine heats up to 700 at h.h. in 12-15 minutes.
Is that how it should be? :)

Turnovers are updated in a second :(
The price of the issue is
cleaning the injector - 3200 tr.
replacement of the thermostat - 500 rubles.
x.x sensor - 500 rubles.
thermostat - 520 rubles.
Apparently it was in the h.x sensor. They put me some other, it is with adjustments :)
I didn't even understand, but still the question was in the thermostat or sensor, or all taken together?)
