Skinning, skinning, painting, painting ... admiring! =) - Toyota Caldina, 2.0 L, 1997
As much as 5 days off, that's how lucky it was! Uncle Crude was damn right. I could not resist!
In fact, I am not me, unless I tighten at least one bolt on my car. At first he doubted, then he decided, then he doubted again, then he drank, then there were a lot of things to do and now there was only one day off. Hallelujah all the same, I got out to the area in front of the house, first went to Stroymart, bought there white spirit, a pair of gloves, a brush, masking tape and a brush with iron bristles.
Armed means forewarned =)
The order of work was simple:
1) Remove the wheel
2) Apply masking tape to the area where you would not want paint to get.
3) Until the pulse is lost (only without fanaticism, not to hook the rubber parts), we work with an iron brush, rip off all the shit from the caliper, blow it out, clean it again, help with the brush to sweep away dust and asbestos plaque.
4) The caliper is ready. Pour white spirit over the brush, degrease the whole thing and wait 20 minutes for everything to dry.
5) Apply the first coat of paint. We wait. After 30 minutes, the paint no longer sticks to the fingers.
6) Apply the second coat of paint. We are waiting for 15-20 minutes.
7) Apply the third coat of paint. After that, if you wish, you can immediately put the wheel back. In the case of my rear drum brakes, I had to wait because the wheel was in contact with the painted drum.
What happened in the end, you can judge for yourself. I really liked the color. Bright enough. I was pleased with the paint.
So to speak, one more plus in favor of my car =)
today in the personal blog there will be pictures of the X-ray! a friend in my hand drove the key from cefiro to the tomatoes!
yes, it looks good! I also want to, but I don’t know what color to paint ... well, until the hand heals, maybe I’ll come up with something! +5
those. you want to say that all this is finally not mine, but I was naively led =) well, I will call back tomorrow with an apology =)))) bggggyggg
but in general the caps are trapped pancake = / hell you will find.
knesh manually =)))))
Cho for the caps? If the nipples then they were on the discs already.
so you figured it out by hand? : D
I just wielded a drill, quickly and cleanly: D
ps where did you find the caps?
In general, at first I planned to use a counter-mounted drill counter. But somehow there is no current on the site, but I didn't want to ask the neighbors for electricity =)
iron brush to weigh! I also cleaned my calipers like that =)
it turned out well, in order for the color to be brighter, first painted white and then red =)
D1 Spec 1.5 In the same place in my BZ there is a separate topic about these nuts =)
