Heated side mirrors - Toyota Curren, 2.0L, 1998

At a certain moment I realized that I felt inferior without heating, but the question is - we will do it :)

I bought universal mirror heaters on the market (some kind of Russian company produces) for 500 rubles.

Mirrors are easy to disassemble -
before removing the mirror from the car, you need to raise the glass as much as possible so that a gap forms between the body and the mirror below.
After we heat the glass with a hair dryer, so that the native sealant becomes soft. After that, we carefully insert a screwdriver between the body and the glass and begin (you need to insert it in the lower part, since the latches are at the bottom and the glass is inserted at the top) to gently move them away from each other.
As soon as we see in the slot where the glass element is connected to the moving bar, we insert a second flat screwdriver between them and slowly, turning the screwdriver, we disconnect the two planes, the latches easily snap off.
Then everything is easy to understand.
After disassembling the glass itself, you need to heat the plastic with sealant and carefully detach the plastic from the glass, carefully remove the sealant from the glass without damaging the amolgam coating.

Now everything is ready for tuning :)
We take double-sided tape (because when the glass is suddenly heated, it can crack) we glue it on the glass, cutting off the heater from it that is not needed. For the wires, I melted two holes in the plastic with a soldering iron.
Now, in the reverse order, apply the sealant and glue the plastic back. Putting it back together, remembering to warm up the sealant, because it is softer when heated.

I threw the wires through the standard holes, disassembling the motor for closing / opening the mirror.
The mass can be connected in the door itself, ring a bolt and plow it. And "+" we lead through the standard casing, where the standard wiring goes, into the passenger compartment, in the passenger compartment we pass the plus to the fuse box under the dashboard.
We read the book, we study which wire goes from the rear window heater relay, we need a wire not from the heater button, but from the power relay.
We cut our own wire into this and wrap it with electrical tape :)

We enjoy life :)
