Generator - Toyota Soarer, 2.0L, 1988

So, the shed renovation is progressing at a slow pace.

I decided to take up the generator. Somehow on Thursday he took it off, pinned it, rubbed it off as best he could.

Quickly he ran as:
jammed it would seem because of cracked and broken body geometry
diode bridge- fired steam tranzyukov (there will be time to receive medical treatment)
nuts securing the pulley decided to ruthlessly tear.

In general, the shaft is in good condition - the diameter is normal, the conclusions are not contacted. It will come in handy.
The coil was also in good condition, but you can't pull it out of the case, it turns out to be a bummer.
The brushes obviously did not change from the factory, so they worn out and ended almost completely. I'm going to re-solder soon.
The hem is in order, there is a slight backlash, but the thread will do for something.

Since the condition of the generator is depressing, I decided to take another one (or rather, at first I decided to buy another case, but ... In general, it's useless). As a result, I found a good-looking gene for almost nothing. (Right)

Pripped home, exhausted by treasure hikes, wet feet, headache, back aches, but still got what he wanted!
This is what I saw in him:
Immediately struck by his collective farm. Obviously being renovated.

The coil gave out less resistance than needed - 1 ohm instead of one and a half. Checked out one of her soldered output.

The rotor alerted me - it looks much more worn out than mine - replacement soon

The condition of the brushes is terrible, I ran to the store for new ones.

Basically, replacing the brushes is not easy, but very simple. They cost me 20 re, and yes, they are VAZ. Probably my relatives did not cost much more, but somehow they persuaded me to run after them around the boutiques. After removing the old and obviously not quite original ones and cutting off the brushes from the VAZ holder, after a slight adjustment, the brushes fell into place as needed. I soldered it, poured some paint over the soldering point and landed it in place.

I checked the diode bridge. It is also easy to check. The figure shows where the plus and where the minus.
To check, we take a car battery or a power supply from a computer and a light bulb or tester. We put the minus of the tester / light bulbs into the hole in the photo, and the plus into the stick. And we whisper wiring from the power supply to the terminals in different combinations, the lamp / tester should show / shine the same way. If somewhere the lamp does not shine and the tester does not show a naprug, then the trans has burned out. Here.

So, after cleaning the case, threads, pins, bolts and other accessories, I collected it. In the end, I haven't put it yet, but soon I'll buy a belt and put it on.

I also decided to buy an air filter. There are plans to buy more fuel and oil.
In general, I am making progress slowly but surely. Here is a photo:

Excellent detailed story! You don't understand in cars, you say? :) I would never do that myself.

What can you do here?
Clean, disassemble and dig in the internet. Anyone can cope with this ...
But when the turn comes to the engine ... Although the devil is not terrible, I'll figure it out.

And what is the power of the top ten?
There you
still need 70 amperes ... In general, there is another generator on the twin-shaft head, so this one is for the museum only. = D

I ADVISE TO SUPPLY FROM TEN, CLEARLY FITS, not many alterations. the first to drill the lower mount on the Zhiguli is not much larger hole, then the tensioner from the Volga is longer, and the belt should be cut or bought for 5 streams. I even put it on 4. It's simple, affordable.

Well, figs knows, if it happens to me to finish with the bodywork, I'll think about pikhla.
Thank you for the tip, I'll take it into account. =)

yes, when idling, I turn on all the consumers plus heating, I have an idle speed of 700 rpm, yes, the music, of course, is undersized! but everything is compensated on the go and I keep the revs all the time, 3 liters ... and we have the same generators, believe me, I have now installed a capital tensioner with 14, a vase, I tighten it with a bolt, as before, and not with a mantle, as it was at the beginning after the alteration, IT IS POSSIBLE TO DELIVER THE PULLEY LESS IN SALE IS FROM VAZ,

the most important thing is that the consistency is the same, the rest is easy to redo, once and then repair is simply available believe me, and my motor also dons 2 shafts,
