Noise and vibration isolation - Toyota Mega Cruiser, 4.1 L, 1996
In mid-February, I gave the car to the AAS car studio in Juno.
A preliminary wishlist (a list of what I want) and the scope of work were drawn up. The deadline for delivery is May 1.
He left for Thailand.
1. Noise isolation.
Since it is very likely that the car will be sunk in the seat, it was decided to use 4 types of Shumka. The lower part is rotten bituminous, the higher is simpler and lighter, With an additional function of damping vibrations from acoustics.
Materials:
bimast bombs 20 sheets of
vitoplast 5 sheets of
visomat PB2 20 sheets of
vibroplast Gold 20 sheets
Even taking into account lightweight materials, this added about 150 kg.
Native foam rubber was glued in an even layer over the entire surface. Yapi smeared glue, hike, by spraying from a censer (very carelessly). A couple of people worked for a long time, picking off the crumbs.
In addition, it was found that there is a double bottom (the meaning of which is unclear), with boiled screws, over the loosening of which they fought for two days.
This and the development of further solutions took 2 weeks. I returned from Tay, it started on ...
(tomorrow I will post more pictures)
