Polishing! Who did it himself? We advise ... - Toyota Avensis, 1.8 L, 2009

The car is still not half a year old, but at every wash I notice small scratches-cobwebs and this negatively affects my mood = (it's all the fault of winter, the snow and the brush with which I cleaned this snow off. And dad did a "favor" when he washed it off the trunk lid dried bird shit, supposedly it eats away paint =)) now there is no shit, but in the place where it was left a stain of scratches = ((What are these birds eating?

In general, I decided to make my Broom polirovochku! At the station, I didn't want to give 4k for this very procedure, so I drove into the car market and bought 3 polishes and 2 nozzles for a typewriter. Total I have: Medium abrasive polish for removing minor scratches, colored polish for deep gloss black, Teflon polish for protection for 8-12 washes =) + 2 attachments for the machine: hard (for abrasive polish) and soft (for non-abrasive colored) I also bought P2000 sandpaper to remove a deep scratch at the bottom of the rear bumper. I don't have machines with variable speed = (So I decided to do with a drill =))) They say that such a replacement is quite feasible, but there is a risk of getting very worn out and getting trembling in my hands =))

Who has ever polished his car himself or knows some nuances on polishing, please tell me! =) And then they say that you can wipe it to the metal))

I'm very afraid to damage the varnish and peel off the paint = (I've already climbed all sorts of forums, read a lot of various tips ... I think during the May holidays, if the weather permits, I'll still take a chance. if it doesn't work out right away, then I won't even continue.in any case, then we'll create a post with the results of the work)))

I would not risk it. Of course, giving it to someone else is even worse, but with a drill yourself, and for the first time in your life. Aren't you afraid to peel off the paint / varnish?

And for the money - you have already paid 1700 rubles for the "materials" plus five hours (if the whole car) will take a normal polish. In theory, it will be somewhat more expensive than the 100 euros that the "professionals" ask for.

Although, of course, the owner is a master.

P.S. For courage - 5!

Already done everything and a long time ago)) The result is excellent! This summer will need to be repeated, only on a different machine) here is the polishing report - www.drive2.ru/cars/toyota...4062246863888369915/#post

Boldly, of course, but maybe you shouldn't use a medium abrasive polish, you still need to fill your hand, otherwise you will definitely burn through the varnish. And are there really such scratches that deep polishing is needed. And then I decided immediately with a machine, try it manually. It will not shine so cool and you will get tired, but safe.
