Installing neon! - Toyota Corolla Runx, 1.5 L, 2003
Yes, maybe someone will say that the neon under the bottom is a show-off! But my opinion was neon, is and will be a very beautiful car tuning!
First of all, I re-read a bunch of articles on the Internet, from where I learned that good neon (not made in China) was only a few years ago when neon was at its peak of popularity, then, due to its alleged ban, it became less popular and remained only of Chinese origin! :))
There was a choice, either to take a ready-made set of neon or to take lamps separately, it helped that there were no neon sets available in stores, I had to take lamps separately (it turned out to be a big plus that the same lamps can be bought one if one fails). Also, its sellers dissuaded from neon lamps, and offered to take diode lamps, referring to the fact that neon lamps break easily from vibration!
I installed everything in my yard, lifting the car by two jacks on one side:
1. I laid the wiring, from the battery to the button in the cabin, and from the button to the thresholds, front and rear bumpers. The entire wire is protected by a plastic corrugated tube.
2. Installation of lamps, in front the lamp is attached to the bottom of the TV and shines simultaneously through the bumper mesh forward (as they say according to the rules it is impossible) and downward, of course!
Since I did not have body kits, the lamps in the thresholds had to be hidden behind a collar, I do not know what it is called, something like a welded on the body! At the back, with no options at all, the lamp hid between the bumper itself and the compartment for the spare wheel!
3. Connecting neon, well, everything is simple, the main thing was to adjust the wires along the length so that nothing dangled anywhere!
4. Test! From the first turn on, for some reason, a pair of lamps burned dimmer than the others, it turned out to be a button! I changed the button! Second activation ... Successful! :)))))
