Suspension - Toyota Vista, 2.0L, 1989
I drove over the bumps of my collective farm to the point that the spring in front burst.
Well, I think there was still an excuse to remove the wheels and finally put the steering tips, bought for the new year)) The search for springs did not take too long, spent the whole working day in front of the monitor and found what I needed for disassembly near Moscow. I changed the springs, changed the tips. When I was removing the rack, I had to disconnect the hose from the brake caliper, and therefore the brake fluid got under the batch and changed (judging by the color of its 15 years old) There will not be a photo of the process, I do everything in one hand and there was no time to jump with a fotik, after work until darkness 2-3 hours in total. Later I'll stick a photo of the result.
Steering tips - 360r apiece
Springs - 600r apiece
I also wanted to change the stands for this business, but there wasn’t enough dough, I decided to postpone it until the fall (if they don’t grunt before))))
ps All the same, there was some kind of bad sound from the side of the suspension, although not such a hellish rumble as before replacing the tips.
Nakarkal ... yesterday I tried to ride, from under the right front fender comes a terrible creak. Moreover, at a certain position of the steering wheel, which means the tip most likely creaks. Putting it is not so easy is not realistic, maybe a defective one was caught, you need to disassemble it again to look :-(
