LED headlights - Toyota Corolla Ceres, 1.6L, 1993
In response to the ban on xenon, I decided to dim the headlights with LEDs.
In the radio parts store, LEDs were purchased with a glow temperature of 5000K and a luminous flux of 350 lumens. The luminous flux of an ordinary halogen lamp is from 900 to 1700 Lumens for reference,
So these LEDs are powered by a high current of about 700 mA and a voltage of 6.5 V. Therefore, so that they do not burn out on the very first day, it was decided to abandon conventional current-limiting resistors, and assemble a stabilized power supply 6.5V 2A.
LEDs are installed on radiators so as not to overheat The design works perfectly and consumes only 10 watts instead of 100 watts
Of course, not Ice illuminates, but you can see me from afar
350 Lumens, all the same, not 2000 Lumens
Later I can torture you for 900 Lumens, but for now this is enough
Price tag: 1 500 ₽As far as I know, xenon is not prohibited, but if it is, then your headlights, along with xenon, will be "outlawed" :(
On the official website of the traffic police, it is very clearly written about gas-discharge light sources. As for daytime running lights, since 2011, all automakers are obliged to install these headlights on all cars (not to illuminate the roadway, but to determine the vehicle as dimensions)
The beauty! well done! Megarespect!
I am also obsessed with LEDs, but unfortunately I do not have enough brains and patience to stir up so much!
At first I stuck xenon in tumanki, but after burning out the right lamp twice in a year, I tore it out in FIG and bought wonderful H3 diodes through injapan.ru!

Well, the saboy itself has long been on diodes for interior lighting, dimensions, room lighting, but only in the feet they are not visible at all, so I had to return the lamps with a filament :(
