DIY cabin filter. - Toyota Camry Gracia, 2.2L, 1998

I came across numerous reports on the Internet about reworking old salon cabinets with my own hands from filters for hoods. Since during the previous change of the filter to the coal type, the original had to inhale the stench from the anti-freeze and KAMAZ vehicles almost like without a filter, I decided to try to do it myself and see the difference. I did not take a photo of the work, but I took as a basis a report where a guy changed the filter without folding it like an accordion and gluing an anti-grease layer to a plastic frame. I went to work without much hurry and sipping wine for about 2 hours. The most difficult thing was to tear off the gray filter without damaging the frame itself and without throwing dirt and dust on the whole house, collected along the roads of the Irkutsk region during the year. As a result, I can say that all this bullshit, it stinks even more than with the old filter, although I put 2 layers of charcoal and 1 layer of anti-grease. Buy people normal factory filters. You can use homemade products only when the budget is severely starving or it is impossible to get the original. Of course, you can still try to make 5 layers in general, but how effective it will be is not in the know.

Eat rastishki! ))))) Although I must say the stink from the gig and the Volga has become noticeably less, only the anti-freeze stinks as well ...

I would like to know where he stands and how to get him out of there ... see at least one eye that tama is going on with him 8) I'm a driver, not a mechanic ... so I'll have to look for people who know how to get him out 8)

You have a left-handed one, maybe it’s different, but try the following algorithm (I’m not a mechanic either)))))
1. Bend the fluffy floor to the right of the pedals by the upper edge from under the lower part of the torpedo.
2. You pull out the interfering plug with the wires
3. With your hands you grope for a vertically standing plastic paint about 2 cm wide and 20 cm high. It is located near the front wall of the cabin - closer to the engine and looks at the pedals with its surface, but slightly higher.
4. If there is a filter, take it out. I didn't have it, I had to vacuum and buy a new one.

Two filters, upper and lower. Installed through a common technological opening. Today I bought and installed it myself within ten minutes. Issue price 680 r.
