We clean the valve covers! - Toyota Chaser, 2.5 L, 1993

We clean the valve covers - Toyota Chaser 25 L 1993

Because oil oozed from all the cracks - an unconditional decision was made - to clean the valve covers and change the crankcase gas tubes! Some of them were stupidly cracked - full of holes! Oil in the candle channels ... And a lot of Moscow fine dust, which settles mixed with oils into a very nasty dirt! In some places the layer is 1-2mm!

For cleaning, I used carbcliners, a rag and a screwdriver. In general, the fun for three hours was a success! Cleaned up enough!

Many thanks to my Dad, the second pair of hands helped a lot from time to time!

Hello! I, too, from a friend on 2JZ-GTE noticed that it was riveted.
Because this capacity was sorted out, there is an assumption that the rivets were drilled and the threads were cut with taps.

But maybe it was some kind of engines that came with screws, I can't know for sure!

Priv. I have the same motor, I also threw off the cover. You tell me how you removed the plate in the lid itself, I looked cheto, so it is riveted, and you have screws.
