Correct car radio mounting - Toyota Carina E, 2.0L, 1992
In Toyota Carina E from the factory, the radio is mounted with the help of special corners to the power structure of the car. Those. to the pipe on which the whole torpedo is held. Also, in the same places, the middle part of the torpedo is additionally fixed. But unfortunately our skew-handed installers of radio tape recorders, when they remove the head unit, throw them out. And why are they when there is a mine in the kit? VAZ habit: (And the most interesting thing - no one thinks - why do the manufacturers of radio tape recorders drill holes in their case (on the sides). Also, no one thinks that when installed using a mine, a radio tape recorder weighing about 1 kg hangs with all its weight on the central console, which fastened with 4 latches! and the shaft is fastened, as always, with the extreme end on 2mm plastic! And what happens - when driving on our charming roads, the radio tape recorder with all its weight tries to pull out and break this console ... From this, very strong extraneous noises first appear - it seems that the car has become a rattle ... And later the center console itself bursts ... On the Russian forum of carinovodov I read about these factory mounts. I found them in the catalog and ordered ...
And finally they came and were installed. Mount numbers 86211-20330 and 86212-20320. This is a Japanese carina. A little different go to the Englishwoman. Everything got up right the first time without reaming, sawing, bending, etc ... Ride - damn it! the beauty! There is silence in the car. I even forgot that I have a low profile and 17th rollers :) It feels like the whole car was made noiseless ...
What it took:
1. fasteners 86211-20330 and 86212-20320
2. screws for fastening to the radio tape recorder D = 5mm, L = 7mm. 4 pcs
3. bolts for fastening to the dashboard: М5, 20mm long. 4 pcs
4.8 wide washers for M5.
One nuance: apparently the mounts are designed for old radio tape recorders - from which the muzzle cannot be removed. Therefore, the radio tape recorder is about 6-8mm recessed inside. Because of this, the facing frame was not dressed, but the muzzle can be put on and removed without problems. Pulling the radio forward is solved by transferring the mounting holes or using a washer backing - but I did not bother - everything was fine with me ...
Price: $ 12.65 fasteners and 0.5-1 cu bolts, etc ...
Thank you - I was stunned - driving on our roads and not a single cricket in the car (except for the broken-up steering column bushings - but this will be corrected in the near future). And before that it was like a rattle ...
Molods! I don’t remember how the radio tape recorder was fastened, I need to look.

Throw your mail to me in a personal - I'll throw you a scan of the mounts 1: 1. Then you print it out, attach it to a piece of tin and cut it out :)
I'm still waiting ...

And if in more detail ... Where to get the printout? And what other features can there be?
why plan here? I took a piece of sheet metal 0.6-1mm (outer window sill, a profile for attaching drywall, etc.), cut out a printout from a 1: 1 scan, circled it with a felt-tip pen, cut it out with strong scissors, drilled holes and forward. There work with beer for 30 - hour minutes :)
or it is possible for 12 USD. order from the emirates. 30 days delivery ... I ordered only because no one had such a 1: 1 scan :) but what was on the ru forum did not suit me ...
I read about it on the forum for a long time. In the summer I am planning the same operation with my own, and at the same time I will fix the notorious cracks in the console ...
also a bright thought! I just did it alone, but my hands do not reach myself, and in the cold I don't want to mess around
I do not recommend re-drilling the holes (you will not do that by mm and everything will sit crookedly) ... - it is easier to lay a thick gasket (such as a piece of steel 5 mm thick) in the place where the corner is screwed to the dashboard.
I also fixed it to the standard, I had my own cassette tape, and I also did not put on the radio frame. I think the little guy should be re-drilled on the mount so that the radio tape recorder comes out a bit and you could put on the frame

I can't find such screws, are they called 5x7 screws?
In the instructions for Pioneer it is written that there are 5mm × 9mm.
This is me not for you this is me for those who google this page before looking at the instructions, like me :)
And there is no diagram of the sizes of these mounts? It's easier to cut out of metal yourself
