Washing the internal combustion engine ... - Toyota Corolla, 1.6 liter, 1998
The sun was shining brightly in the courtyard, a trip to the lake was planned - to sunbathe, eat barbecue. And we came up with the idea to wash the engine in our korollka, because somehow in winter we forgot to close the engine with an oil filler cap and rode like this, without it ... Naturally, the entire space under the hood was smelling of oil and dirt: ((
We arrived at the car wash and after 40 minutes the engine compartment shone like new along with the body.
Having rolled out of the car wash box, we got up with the hood open to dry out a little ...
About 20 minutes later, briskly getting ready for the journey, we drove about 500 m, when the machine began to sneeze and lose power, after another 1 km we firmly stood on the dam: ((((when we were towed into the yard, we had to remove all the caps, caps and other electrical shit under the hood to dry it out. The
day was ruined, the mood too, the trip was covered with a copper basin ...
In the evening, after standing all day in the sun, the korollka started up without problems, did not even sneeze ...
Here every time I am convinced - do not touch it, it does not stink -: ((I am in shock ...
But now it's clean under the hood :))))!
Mileage: 227,150 kmYes, now at every car wash they write that they are not responsible :)), but at this car wash they seem to be conscientious, they even closed the siren with a package ... the wing was changed long ago, back in winter, after an accident. while there is no money to paint, so the inscription was made - people are having fun when they read :))
have you changed the wing?
we had an inscription on one car wash: "If the car does not start after washing the engine, the administration does not bear responsibility!" of course, after a jet of 150bar, the car stopped starting. so I would not recommend washing the car with a High Pressure Washer, especially without covering the electrician. there are such detergents for motors. it is better not to be too lazy to wash it manually with a brush or rag. by the way, it's high time to do it yourself)))))
