Replacing the front brake pads - Toyota Corolla II, 1.3L, 1998
It's time to change ... Firstly, because the left wheel creaked constantly (it was probably the so-called "" wear indicator) and secondly, an external examination confirmed that the thickness of the pads is indeed the minimum permissible.
After reading the forum, it was decided to buy Nisshimbo from exist.ru online store.
Before replacing, I studied the manual for a long time and somehow took up this business on Saturday afternoon.
It took a long time with the left wheel, since everything was for the first time. But he coped with the right one in 15 minutes.
According to the instructions, it is required, together with the pads, to change the anti-creak gaskets and lubricate them with special ones. grease. I didn't, because neither one nor the other was available :). The outer gaskets were very well preserved, but the inner ones were "battered" by life.
In the course of the replacement, it turned out that the old pads were worn out diagonally, due to the fact that the lower guides of the calipers wedged, and the upper ones were not in perfect condition. But the brake disc itself is normal.
After replacement, nothing creaks, everything is fine. Only the guides still need to be cleaned and lubricated ...
