Replaced steering shaft bushings and pump mesh - Toyota Carina E, 2.0 L, 1992

Replaced steering shaft bushings and pump mesh - Toyota Carina E 20 L 1992

The steering shaft bushings and the coarse fuel mesh have been replaced today.
After replacing the bushings, the rattling disappeared and the irregularities in the steering wheel disappeared! Hurrah! The level of comfort increased by one more level :) Only now the steering wheel began to turn tighter ... But I think the bushings will work in and everything will fall into place. The bushings were lubricated with HUSKEY HTL-500 grease.
The grid for coarse fuel cleaning looked like it was thrown in a dacha in the garden and found only a year later: (While it was drying and lying in a bag, a considerable heap of garbage was poured from it. I looked at it and generally wondered how benz passed through THIS ... I can't say anything to the behavior of the car yet - they threw off the battery terminal and, accordingly, the brain went to zero ...
I feel that it will be necessary to remove the tank before the fall, clean it and put in a new filter. I didn’t think that everything is so deplorable ...

I wrote the numbers of the bushings just below. the bushings came out about 80 UAH of steam, and the filter 60. replacement of bushings is fully described here carinae.com.ua/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1236 . And the filter changes after taking out the pump (under the back seat).

By the way. Bushings for the money what time did they get up? Can you throw off their numbers?
And, so as not to get up twice: how does this filter change? Long? Complicated? What's what?

I agree - but I felt the effect very noticeably after the replacement :)

Well,
I am unsubscribing about the test drive of the new filter: I did not expect such an effect! Karina lost her nervous reaction to the gas pedal. before she reacted very nervously and jerkily. when the gas was suddenly released, it twitched, etc. now - everything is soft and smooth! Just wondering how quickly the new filter will turn into shit?

I didn't look, we have a plastic or pitiful tank. If it is plastic, then acetone does not roll.

It seems to me that the tank can be washed simply with benzene. Here, the main thing is to wash it from coarse dirt (the message is that garbage that floats with sediment) - which clogs the filter ... IMHO

I am also going to remove the tank nafik - for 15 years I think no one has climbed there. I bought a grid, I have a little different one, apparently because I have 1.6. And this dergotnya tortured me too. Therefore, I think how to wash the tank. Acetone?
