A little new (wrapped with a film, etc.) - Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, 2.7 L, 2000
Unfortunately, very little time turns out to be devoted to the car - work: (((
From the planned schedule - I have already got out ...
In general, it was originally supposed to tighten the car completely until June - now, if you look at things so realistically, I would have time by mid-June ...
Oh, and by the way yes - the car was originally decided to paste in chrome (body) + black mat (+ bumper moldings, ie the bottom of the machine)
.Byl bought at a sample roll of 4m chromium (3Movsky) and ordered film KPMF 80000 (black mat)
on the results of came to the conclusion that pasting the body in chrome is beyond the power: (((it does not work and that's it :(
In general, as a result, I came to this option, almost the whole car is in black mat + chrome details (racks, ears, handles, casting :) and little things)
As I see it, it should look pretty cool!
From what he tightened, the doors, trunk, fenders and most of the moldings.
So far, there have not been any particular problems with any part (except for the moldings, since they have grooves).
The plates (which are instead of glass) will also roll up, and the letters will be peeled off, new chrome-plated ones will be made. And the panels themselves will be the same as the body in black mat.
Also, in the course of preparing the car for pasting, I close up all the jambs, the bumper is the most jumbo, among other things, I also filled up holes from under the parking sensors on it
I decided to remove all the badges from the back door, did a little shaving :)
By the way, it turned out to be quite problematic to disassemble the back door - there is too much of everything + everything from the inside is covered with very thick Shumka, and this is not a plus: (but now I have completely assembled the door, cut off / cut off the excess - in general, as if it was black matte :)
I will say right away - the door handle will not be black as it is now - I will either paint it in chrome, or buy a new chrome one (if I find it) I
glued the upper part of the door too
everything turned out decorously, nobly, but I didn't take a picture of the general plan ... I still have time :)
At the same time, I filled the rings under the phasics with polyester - so that they were tight :)
I also decided that the entire trunk / interior would be non-removable - there would only need access to the gas pump (just in case) - for such a case, there will be an emergency hatch inside the stealth :)
ahem ... I think the last paragraph will not be clear to anyone ... ok, I'll post it in the evening what has already been done in the salon and I will write down how it should be in the end :)
And last Saturday I sold the escudik ... I went to Khabarovsk - I stuck it goodbye to him and oracle my little beginning project on the Internet :)
Also during this time I tried to make a copy of the cap for casting, until all attempts were crowned with success: (but by trial and error how to get a haircut ... I seem to be getting closer to the truth ... As soon as I finish it, I will share it as in a separate entry
Yes (probably some special technique of gluing used (the feeling that you lot tried it) but still some experience of it handed down;) The price tag is certainly not frail fees) for what time they teach)?
At you in a car, it turns out the color will be black, instead of gray ... will you have to change the documents, or what?)
Yes sobsvno a lot of problems :))) It is impolite to roll it without bubbles and so that the surface is really smooth, smooth like a mirror. as soon as I have not tried it already ... well, it does not work in any way: (it stretches also badly, when overheated it loses its specularity (becomes matte), the adhesive layer is very strong, it just touches the surface - it sticks almost tightly. breaks (halograms) - which also cannot be removed. training costs 100,000 rubles :)))))
Yes, it is difficult to work with bulges and grooves (You need to warm up the film well and press it (But in principle, everything is real)
Pulling alone is of course cruel) Sometimes you need outside help;) I can imagine how you were tormented with the cedric (and in general, completely pull the car - it's not an easy task (But you are great, you are good at it;) Did you fit it right on the street?)
I also tried to fit the details with chrome, but nothing came of it (I just had a film with some kind of metal component it practically did not stretch, and if it did, then white stripes appeared (Therefore, my experience with it also ended in failure (I can imagine what the price tag of this film is (
We recently had an exhibition of tuning cars in our city and there was a supra fully chrome plated) But I didn’t know how they managed to do it)
What problems did you have with chrome?
Yeah, of all the hemorrhoids, there was a back door - there are a lot of convex small parts, a lot of irregularities, etc. considering that I pulled one - I liked how it turned out :)
and yes, I pulled the pradik alone, without help, thank God there is an area small - you can do it alone. But a friend of the cedric was pulled together - there are pieces of hoo! here are pictures (not finished yet) www.drive2.ru/users/patri...4062246863888306198/#post Have
you worked with chrome? I still didn't manage to tighten anything with them: (((very sorry, because the expensive film disappears :(
It turns out great) I worked with the film, so I know how often it is hemorrhoid) Certainly a test!;) As I understand it, you did all the gluing work yourself?)
