Speedometer not working - Toyota Sprinter, 1.5 L, 1988

Immediately after the purchase, I noticed that the speedometer was not working. A cable goes from the speedometer itself, if you twist it, the arrow reacts, and in the place where it should be attached to the machine, something is missing. Traveled a bunch of showdowns already, and did not find anything. It's just that there was never even a car this year in this body.
