Buffer creation :) - Toyota Corolla Levin, 1.6L, 1998
On the cheap got two low-frequency speakers r15 Kicker
Naryl amplifier (which needs to be changed soon because there is not enough power) and bought a capacitor for 1 farad.
I decided to make the box myself. the whole instrument was at hand.
He took a tape measure and went to measure the trunk, measured all the dimensions. After that I took 18mm plywood and began to design :) I assembled this whole thing, glued all the cracks from the inside with a glue gun along the way. At work, there was 20mm foam and metallic leatherette, I decided not to bother with special material and cover it with what I have :) I took a furniture stapler and covered the box with leatherette. The box turned out to be 70 liters: (and for 1 such a speaker you need 74, for 2 = 148, such a box will not physically fit into Levin :) this one takes up the entire trunk, but experts say that this is enough, just right so that the car does not fall apart :) at the same time pasted over with vibroplast in a circle.
duck you have a closed box? or FI or port? if it is closed, then it makes sense to place the din behind the rear seat so that they can look into the salon. all the more so at Levin there is just a good opening for this. if you make a box entirely of fiberglass, this is PPC how much fiber and resin you will have, because a box for double subs is not a podium for high frequency, here the walls should be thick. (especially a wall with dynamics). although you can think about combining, for example, in curved cavities to muddle the fiber, and where the configuration allows - a tree. if you have any questions, welcome to bassclub.ru :)
Yes, the fact of the matter is that I did not count at all, I know that they need 150 liters of 74 for each ... but damn 150 liters is a whole trunk, and such a box cannot be made of plywood. the trunk is also not stupidly rectangular, and the hinges from the trunk itself interfere. I think then to make the whole trunk from fiberglass
