I had to force a little decision to replace (or simply install) the radio. And all due to the fact that the native car Panasonic began to play the fool with the reception of CD. By disassembling / assembling, two possible reasons
became clear: - the motor responsible for installing the disc on the tray began to "give up";
- violation of smoothness (production from dust) of a pair of rubbing metal surfaces.
The motor, of course, can be searched for, all that is possible is lubricated, but something did not help much.
But oh well, why bother if it is better to use another radio tape recorder to create a good sound. And then, of course, the question arises about the place and method of installation, there are again two options, complex and simple:
- Complex - put the radio tape recorder in a pocket under the climate control unit, then the radio tape recorder will not be visible and we will not lose the BC, but not a fact that there is enough space in depth;
- Simple - to put the car in the transitional frame in the place of the native one, but here we will lose the BC, but everything is put simply and quickly ...
According to the specifics of work (in a car service), 4 frames for Corolla were found in the warehouse: 1 piece for 2din and 3 options for 1din. I am considering options for 1 din in order as in the pictures:
Diets is an excellent frame in terms of plastic quality and texture, but the Germans somehow did not think of the installation of the radio, there are few attachment points, you need to put it on a slide, there is a suspicion that the device will dangle , pocket on top;
Metra is a good quality American frame-constructor, the texture is ribbed, it will differ from the native plastic with air vents, the radio tape recorder will sit well, but I didn't really like the pocket (which is located below);
AI - also Americans, also a constructor, a pocket on top, a texture like Meters, but everything sits rigidly, the radio tape recorder in it is like a glove, is bolted and looks better than with competitors ...
Summing up, we can say that the minimum program is already there, it remains to measure the place under the climate and make a decision on the installation, perhaps my experience will be useful to others ...

The two-din frame is not the same as in the pictures, it is thinner both at the top and bottom. There is only one condition: decorative frames from the radio and bortovik will not work, most likely ...
And if you put a 2 din frame, a 1 din head and a 1 din multitronics type bortovik will fit in there normally, don't you know? and then somehow looking at a 1 din frame is hard to believe ...
