Chapter 3 Paragraph 1 - Toyota Mark II 2.0L 1985
Good day!
I think this post will be the longest of all.
Nuss, let's blunt. For my not long silence, I did not do much either))) For little things, these are the bulbs in the turn signal, the room and interior lights.
Backstage cover.
And now about something more or less interesting, maybe a piece of the panel where the radio tape recorder stands was all in cracks and holes, I came to the conclusion that I should somehow put it in order, and decided to cover it with dermantin.
I went to look, found some kind of office that deals with all sorts of fabrics and leathers, took all the samples they had, left a deposit and went to the car to figure it out. Alas, I did not find an analogue in color, I decided to take a brown one, it was the most decent of all, the rest were glossy as a client. I got up, took the bail, gave the samples. ordered only one and a half meters. They said they would bring it on Tuesday morning. left a phone number and went on business (ordered on Saturday).
They did everything as promised, even on Monday they sent an SMS to the phone that my order had arrived and could be picked up. Before gluing the leatherette, I prepared a piece of the panel. Well, now in order in detail.
What do we need to rasterize the panel?
1) Here is such a putty for plastic, I use it not for the first time already, a wonderful thing!
2) Glue, honestly steal from work))))
3) Sandpaper
4) Leatherette
5) Marekr, scissors, patience, neatness and so on)))
In principle, I think everyone knows the order, but still ...
First I cleaned everything, then glued all the cracks, then sanded the surface a little and filled up all the irregularities, chips, cracks, holes (it was difficult to call them holes).
Then he left all this overnight so that it was completely dry, just the next day he took the material and continued in the evening. I sanded all the putty, wiped it off the dust and proceeded to markup. Tk this is my first experience of tight-fitting and with drawing at school I was not super =))) in principle, I was not really super at school =))))) but this is not about that)) I began to mark, marked as I could, time it took decently.
Then he cut everything out, but everywhere he left a stock in case of jambs, as it turned out later, it was not in vain))) Well, he began to slowly paste over, first glued one side, cut off the excess, then glued it on and so on until the very end. Basically that's all.
The color is of course "child's surprise" and I don't really like it, but I think if you still paste over the plastic where the gearbox is, then it won't stand out so much. The most important thing for me is that now you can't see the hole in the corner and this stupid piece of wood =)))
What else I wanted to tell you, I climbed today to tighten the corner of the rear bumper. The previous owner attached it to a wire and tightened it in the trunk, taking out the spare wheel and found a hole in the bottom = (((and a bunch of "gomna."
While I was wiping the headlights I saw that the fog light was broken (((
Well, this is probably where I’ll finish this story.
