Cabin filter for the 10th Camry, and mini MOT. - Toyota Camry, 3.0L, 1994
Few owners of "dozen" are aware of the existence of a cabin filter in their car.
Because not a single program for the selection of spare parts issues it. The verdict of all sellers of spare parts is absent!
But how can it be! After all, there is a place for its installation!
True, I do not know how much it depends on the configuration of the car, so I will tell you using my makhaki as an example.
Although I think it's not that difficult to verify.
If you have such a hatch under the dashboard, at the driver's feet, where the gas pedal is, under the carpet of the floor, then everything should come together =)
The lower part of the hatch is inserted into the groove, and the upper part is latched, by pressing on which and pulling the hatch slightly upwards, we remove it.
Actually the hatch itself =)
The filter fits perfectly from the 20th Camryushka.
The original order number is 88880-33040 , but its price is about 1300 rubles. = (
You can take a non-original, in my case it is "Jakoparts (Nipparts)" J1342022 worth 450 rubles.
Moreover, this non-original device is the same in quality as the original. I took my first filter the original - "Denso". So there is something to compare =)
A filter of two parts.
Upper.
. and bottom.
First, after pretty torment, we insert the upper half of the special tongue.
The upper part should go completely up, only the tongue should be visible, otherwise we suffer further, it is important to get into the guide grooves correctly.
The bitch will interfere with the gas pedal very much =)
They put in the top one, but the torment is not over yet.
Now you need to somehow contrive, hold the upper part, which the infection strives to slide down, at the same time hold the gas pedal (again she is a bitch) =) and at the same time try to insert the lower half of the filter.
It is important that the lower one fits into the groove of the upper one, otherwise everything is in vain.
At the bottom, at the top, there should be two rows of ebb-tides - between them the upper one drives in (or rather, vice versa), and at the bottom it has one row, with it it drives into the stove body.
All parts of the filter must fit easily and without distortions, otherwise something is not done correctly.
I didn't succeed right away. =)
And I also recently waved the front pads and rear stabilizer struts.
The pads were supplied by "Sumitomo" SN-631 (Japan) price 1220 rubles.
Original 04465-33070 about 2250 p!
Before that there were "Nisshinbo".
Racks of the rear stabilizer "555" SL-2935 (Japan =) 1100 rub. for a couple.
And the original 48830-33010 would have come out in 2400 pairs.
And everything would be fine, if only Alyosha, bitch, in good faith, with the engine running, pumped the brake pedal in order to reduce the pads.
But apparently it was not my day, or rather the evening.
He began to take back, and the pedal went to the floor ... = (
In general, drove into the wall ... Here is a deer!
But more on that next time =)
I would say funny =)
Do not count how many times I myself uttered this phrase in relation to clients - "Bleed the brake pedal!"
And so to lay down yourself =)
Well, the wall is metal, elastic. Otherwise, I would definitely have 2wings, a trunk lid and a bumper with lanterns =)
And so a scuff on the bumper and a dent on the lid. =)
And at the entrance to the capital in the morning there are often traffic jams, who are in a hurry, but rush along the side of the road, raising columns of dust, breathing it, albeit for a short time, is not a desire.
I'll probably score it).)
Now when summer and windows are sometimes open, there is still a lot of things flying into the salon, filtering is useless
In theory, it should be in a relatively easily accessible place.
But I don’t know for sure. We have different bodies.
It is hard to believe that in the late 90s, the Japanese could not provide for a cabin filter, and besides, for their own, domestic market.
Immediately after the replacement, I blew the pedal, but the engine did not start. It blew, but the discs were worn out and a side appeared on them. The pads rested on it.
And he started, started to brake, and the pedal bye-bye =)
I don't have it either. In all the services and stores they said that I don't have it! But that is the place! =)
You climb at your place, maybe you can find it like me.
and when the first time he squeezed out the brake he did not fail chtoli?
Here's a setup)
and I stupidly do not have a filter according to the configuration, as I understood
at least in the Service Station "Filter", they said so after looking at the car, I think they rummage in the filters
thanks for the story with the filter (I'll look for the same one))))
and about the trunk - let's take pictures ... let's see
Hemorrhagic! That's putting it mildly!
I couldn't put mine on the first time, although I was tormented for two days, I thought it didn't fit, only a year later, I found it in the garage and decided to try my luck again.
And then a miracle happened, I got up like a native =)
I changed the same filter, only in a mirror image, i.e. steering wheel on the right and the filter on the right too! here is a crap with this top!
I myself did not know at first, but curiosity, and an awl in the ass did their job =)
To be honest, I didn't know about the cabin filter what was on our model)) Thanks for the competent photos and description)
Most likely it will be empty, just a pile of sand and matted down.
It would be nice to have compressed air and a vacuum cleaner with a fine tip at hand.
Here on the weekend I will change it already, for so many years of operation a "moldy miracle" has formed there =))
For more than a year I pestered various sellers with spare parts, with this question, there is a slot, but there is no filter! They just threw up their hands.
There is no cabin filter for our model in any program for the selection of spare parts for Toyota.
Lyokh, how empty? do you mean that there is a Slot for it, but the filter itself is missing or what? =))))
PS there is a vacuum cleaner, I was in a hurry for a garage purpose))
When you put it, be careful with it, it is thin and break it when you install it like two fingers on the fence.
Understood)))) I asked the kent (he deals with spare parts), he says that there is a filter in the warehouse))
What's on our bodywork program?
If it's not difficult to write off a number on the charcoal filter.
Kent broke through the program, there is still a coal filter, here), alas, I did not write down the number)
Ok, I'll get a number) there is some kind of program for sellers, all cars, I'm not strong in this)
You can try with a vacuum cleaner for a start, either with compressed air, or both together and at once. On both sides. But in order to crawl to the second plug, you will have to remove the glove compartment and everything behind it. There will be a plug on the screws. Mirror one that is on the driver's side only slightly larger. You can blow compressed air on one side and put a vacuum cleaner on the other so that less dirt will fly into the cabin.
If there is no "conduit", then everything is much simpler. To begin with, remove the center console, the one with the armrest box, and further forward in increasing order, everything that gets in the way. =)
Thanks for the information on the cabin filter! When I bought a hundred, I was also told that these models are not, today, after studying your photos, I climbed at my place and found :) now such a question, it seems that there were never any filters, well, at least from the previous owner, I felt the heat exchanger with my fingers. there, after the filter, he is a dirty sho kicker, you can feel a bunch of hairs and everything else, the question is, how to wash this whole thing? maybe someone washed already? tell us where to start to spin the panel? :)
I climbed under the frill, at first I also thought that there was a place for the filter.
At first I also suffered the upper part, and this and that, I even tried to unfold it with the tongue inward (after cutting it off). And now I change it quite easily (I got used to it) Only now the pedal mixes.
There you need, very gently, to get into the grooves without distortions.
2 avcube: Namesake, but have you heard a thread about the cabin filter "at the entrance", under "frill"? I read here on the forums that it is also put there, it seems to be even more effective, but I have not yet got there yet.
As for this filter - I also brought myself a filter from 20 a month ago (like you, there was a window, there was no filter), I vacuumed everything inside, but no matter how izieb.sya - the upper part does not fit "flush", even though kill. I tried to cram it there for two evenings as free time appeared - no shit! One of these days I will try again ...
There is an option, but without a special guarantee = (
You need to remove the glove compartment on the right, etc. there is also a hatch, but a little more than under the filter (and it is not easy to remove it), and blow it out with a vacuum cleaner and compressed air (just cover the interior from dust).
I asked for a report and wanted to put it on myself, bought a filter, began to insert it by putting my hand into the hole for the filter and found that the radiator was completely clogged there, and I don’t even know how to clean it, disassemble and pull it out? or can someone tell me something?
The comment on the filter is very useful, but I just doubt if it is installed for the winter. They say it will be colder in the cabin?

Good afternoon, did you come across a heater radiator?
So I ran, under my feet again a puddle of antifreeze, it's pointless to drink, and even a new take is like an airplane)
Is there any information on this?
Although the question is not addressed to me, I will answer. The radiator is completely copper and brass, so it makes sense to solder - anyone who knows how to do it is a master - will do this operation without difficulty, it will be no worse than new.
And second - you will look from where exactly it leaks - perhaps from the connecting tubes - maybe there you need to put the seals on the sealant. Good luck.

Excellent and helpful report. My sincere gratitude to the author. On my next visit to "Exist" I will order such a filter.
Why are there no new reports?
In general, the bortovik is good and useful - for which a separate one - thanks)))
read your report correctly written everything clearly! and you are not aware of this filter on 20ke amirikos? I was looking for him and for ... I may not look for him at all ... but what about ... just in severe frosts, if the temperature sensor shows 90C, then the warmth is barely audible ... please help ...
The first time I suffered for 3 hours! I spat, did not put it on, and threw the filter itself into the trunk.
After about half a year, I stumbled upon it, decided to try again, flew in like home =)
Had to ... put this filter! I've been struggling for two days. At first I didn't hit at all, then it seemed like the upper part got up, setting the lower one, I didn't calculate with force a bit and stuck it, at that moment the upper part fell through and stood up very crookedly. This is half the trouble, I barely pulled out the lower part in the center, slightly tearing the plastic. The top one could not be pulled out without a tool, with thin pliers first drowned it (pressed very hard) then there was some kind of cheek (it seems the protective mesh inside it broke off a little - now, instead of many small cells in the place where the upper part of the filter rested against this grate, another one by combining 4 cells into one.) and again, tearing the plastic at the top a little, pulled it out. Now I'm even afraid to put ...
Didn't know about the filter. I'll have to look at this hatch in my little chest. And then I already had thoughts of making some homemade product in the sense of a cabin filter.
Thanks for the manual on the filter, today I decided to check in what condition it is, since I took the car not long ago, I haven't changed it for a long time, I removed the flap cover, and there was no filter there)))) I already ordered it, I will install it)
The manual is certainly interesting, thanks) I will subscribe perhaps
But I have a question, do you have a Camry Conder?
Thank you, I went to order, otherwise the dust in the cabin is like in a sandbox
The next time you change, unscrew the two bolts, and take the gas pedal aside)) If there is no key, then I'll give you))
I had enough of them until the very sale, and I sold it for a couple of years already, it turns out for 4 years.
