installation of Proma brakes - Toyota Caldina, 2.0L, 2002
The stock brakes on the Kaldin are rather weak = (
several active brakes and "float" = (
realizing that it was time to change the brake discs and looking at the price of the "original", it was decided to leave this stupid idea and order a brake kit from "Pro". the same, just in time a man appeared at the selica-club who offered to make an order with a dealer discount of 10%. I had already heard about Promu at the selica-club and was written off with a person who was engaged in brakes in the Prom. (Here he is, by the way: anton -proma ) found out the whole alignment, prices and terms.Meet
with Anton, made the necessary measurements and
ordered the maximum that "fits" into a 17 "rim
after a month and a half received:
- 4-piston caliper, copy of Ap-Racing,with anthers!
- typesetting Schneider brake discs with notches, diameter 334mm (like from BMW 7th series) and Proma "bell" under my hub.
- caliper-to
-knuckle bracket - Ferrodo DS Performane brake pads (DS2000)
It became clear that just like that, the stock wheels, not these calipers will not "fit" - they will cling = (I had to first try on, understand what kind of spacer is needed and make spacers (faceplates) for the rims,
and then install the kit =)
There is nothing special to write about the installation: I removed the support, installed this one, connected the union, pumped the system over. there are no installation features.
PS since the replacement of the calipers entailed a change in the disc departure, discs were purchased that stand up without a "spacer". here is a photo on the new disks:
Well, what can I say. Much has already been written about Promu.
(in particular, here: www.drive2.ru/cars/acura/...rnal/1729382256910311742/ ) There is
, of course, no super-braking effect when you "hang on belts" from one touch. In the city, with a quiet ride, the effect is not felt. BUT! as soon as you press the pedal harder at speed, their effectiveness immediately begins to affect. moreover, after warming up, their efficiency also increases! (although, "civil" pads, DS2000 do not need to be heated). I want to slow down again and again =) I
'm happy with the brakes! I don't even know how people go to stocks = (
the most convenient option is with an adapter, than to cook ears or make spacers
back stock.
from selica gt4 will not rise. at 215th they get up, with 246th, they say, jambs. recognized.
I know that one collective farm of Bremba from STi. the price tag rose space + the same crap.
and 30 thousand per bolt-on 4-piston brakes with 334mm discs and pads, where nothing else needs to be done - removed one, put another - the price tag is mega-humane. even from gt4 to 215yu they are unlikely to get cheaper
Is the back also 4 pistons? The price tag is cosmic, of course :) Maybe it's easier from Celica GT4 brakes?
What is the price tag for trmoza write in a personal, I want the same? Kaldina is excellent, the main thing is all the necessary tuning.
write to him. it is a brake designer developing them in Prome. It's been two years since I installed them, everything is changing, prices are rising, they say there are already 6-piston whales there. write him. he will tell you everything
anton-proma
call him directly at

Shvets Anton, Alexander Repin. Tel (495) 979-6521; tel / fax (495) 368-9009
I wrote to him a week ago, while he is silent ... maybe on vacation or somewhere else.
Please tell me what is the weight of the disk? torment me with the agony of choosing brake rotors
I didn't weigh it myself! here on this page a person hung:
www.drive2.ru/cars/acura/...rnal/1729382256910311742/
literally:
3) Brembo brake disc 324x30 mm - 7.2kg
but I have 334mm. so it will be even heavier slightly ...
of course it goes as without a bracket?
order here:
www.proma-brakes.ru
or find here on the drive Anton Shvets, he is from Promy engaged in brakes
Tell me and the caliper-to-knuckle bracket is included
and where you can order the brakes
In terms of? 4 pistons, large disc. It all depends on the pads yet. The best is ferodo ds2000 / 2500, everything else is shit! And the backside is needed, the backside starts to float hard, already prepared from ucf30 / ls430
but is there any information what anthers to buy for the rebuild of these brakes?
