Shumka ... - Toyota Carina E, 1.8 L, 1997
Yesterday I finally got to the Shumka ... I took off the seats, carpets and other interfering trekkomudiya. I was surprised by the state of the floor - there was practically no rust, and the state of the native vibration isolation also made me happy - nowhere did it fall off, which saved me from additional hemorrhage - to pick out the regular one ...
In parallel, I decided to remove the torpedo to glue the motor shield, remove the old signaling and mount a new one ... day I will manage ... How ... I took off the torpedo for 2 hours - all the wiring harnesses are mounted on it, and while I disconnected all the plugs, I almost went crazy. Somehow he took it out - a heavy infection, no less than 15 kilograms.
Then the most interesting thing was that an inspection of the Shumka of the engine compartment showed that:
1- in theory, it’s not fucking glued there, maybe the pants were done quite well
2- if you even glue it with 2 layers, then you have to unscrew everything at all, otherwise you won't get to the surface ... I decided that well, fuck it, maybe the strength was already running out.
Separate words of gratitude to the installers of the signaling - in order to entangle all the wires in this way, it is necessary to have at least 3 higher educations. I was exhausted all!
By the way, I found connectors for zhopogreeks under the seats, which made me happy for the future - if I get confused with this issue, then I don't have to farm wires.
In general, what was planned:
1- remove the torpedo, siduhs and carpet
2- dismantle the signalization and mount a new
3- glue the entire floor and motor shield
What happened:
1- take everything to hell, as I think the crap will put the torpedo back in - I want to shoot (((
2- I just turned off the signaling, and then only partially, so that later it would be easier to navigate with the connection of a new one.
3- glued only the left half of the floor, and then not completely - laid only a layer of vibra. I was almost without hands while I was rolling, okay at least I bought a video ...
Bodywork will be finished on Friday, at the moment the car looks like this ...
The plans for Friday:
1- finish the Shumka floor and put everything that was filmed in place
2- pull the parking sensors wires from the rear bumper
3- if possible, mount the signaling
4- damn, you also need to assemble the doors ... Kick ...
Even if it's not very OK, it's all the same - to shoot a torpedo naaaaaaaahreeeeen nada :) Let's see how I will put it in its place tomorrow, I will tell you :)
I wanted to do this at home, now I think it's worth it, I won't shoot the torpedo for sure, apparently everything is OK with the noise!
Yeah, because of my meticulousness and curiosity, at times I swear to myself) As Chinese pioneers, first we create difficulties for ourselves, and then we valiantly fight them))))
Cool photos! :) Well, a torpedo, as a rule, takes a lot of time, but in Japanese women everything is removed and put back pretty well, like)) You are meticulous, since you dared))
Cool, cool :) Just keep in mind - during the winter, under the carpets, many have water from somewhere, and there it will all last the whole winter. I was warned about this by a friend on Selick, then I found the same at home when I was dismantling the car. Suspicions fell on old rubber plugs, through which moisture gets in during the winter. In short, if I were you, I would probably replace them, so that under the noise it does not start to rot (well, you never know, everything is rusty under the floor, including I had a little of it).
