June Cup of Autodrome "Leader" FINAL — Toyota Corolla Levin, 1.6 liter, 2000
Before the final stage in the championship, a very interesting situation developed - even participating in only two out of four races, I had a chance to win this cup on points! True, the following conditions must be met for this:
1) I must win the race
2) The main rival, Alexander Podborny on Astra OPC, must come no higher than third place
3) The number of participants in the class must be at least 6
And if everything is clear with the first point, then the second and third did not depend on me in any way and I could only hope for luck.
Summer is now in full swing, so many people prefer to lie somewhere in the sun or vice versa in some cozy place with air conditioning… in general, there were fewer participants than usual this time…
Realizing that the 3rd paragraph of the condition would hardly be fulfilled, and the second one, most likely, too, I decided that it was not fate and focused on ... coaching! :) Since a lot of my friends and teammates arrived :)
Time kept going… getting dark… I finally found some time between my friends’ training sessions and finally drove my car, showing a result of 1.00.5 (this time we drove clockwise, the track is slower this way)… and then I notice that I'm still gone, but meanwhile the organizers, due to the small number of participants, are already forming the last races!
Hmm, I did not expect such a situation ... Alexander did arrive, but too late!
Thus the first two conditions have been met, but will the third be met...
And finally, two days later, the organizers posted the results and lists of participants by class! And yes, there are 6 cars! :)
As a result, we get equality of points, but I have two victories against one of my opponent!
