Brakes, suspension — logbook Toyota Avensis 1999
And so it's time to pokavyryatsya in the car, do a little repair.
And so on my own I changed the front struts (put Kayaba gas), springs (Kayaba). I did all this a little earlier than the brakes, probably about a month ago, the front stabilizer struts, rear stabilizer struts, rear strut mounts (made in Korea by Longho), steering tips (changed in the service because it’s not very convenient to change them myself) were also replaced)
Racks 2*2600=5200rub
Springs 2*1700=3400rub Rear
stabilizer struts 2*460=960
Front stabilizer struts 2*420=840
Steering tips 2*560=1120
Let's move on to the brakes, I also did everything myself (how I hate drum brakes, with them, the braking efficiency is much lower, and the view is spoiled decently)
Rear drums Jakoparts (Nipparts) 2*1900=3800
Rear brake cylinders Jakoparts 2*500=1000 Rear brake pads
Kashiyama (on the forums they say that the quality of these pads is decent) 850
Pad adjuster on the left rear side (original Toyota) 980 rub
(original Toyota) 300 rubles
Rear brake pipes (to order within 10 minutes in the store) 2 * 60 rubles = 120
Front brake discs Jakoparts (Nipparts) 2 * 1000 = 2000
Front brake pads unname 500 rubles (money ran out)
Spare parts were bought part in store "Formula 10", part of the "MegaMotors" (the Toyota has a lot of spare parts in stock) and Exist. Don’t kick too much for the photo - from the phone ...
The result for all the work done is 21070 rubles
I wonder why it was necessary to change the brake cylinders?
My opinion is that an original part, even if it is 10 years old, can be more reliable than a new one of dubious origin.
Rear cylinders: 1 snotty, the second boot was torn. The front brakes creaked furiously, but then I waved at the normal pads and if there is a creak, then it’s not audible in the car ...
And the result is interesting to know. Are the front brakes squealing? A lot of people complain that on cheap discs + pads, the creak is like from a basin. At the most such with not strong pressure.
