Key stuck (- Toyota Celica, 1.8 liter, 2002
This morning, as usual, I was driving to work and on the way I decided to stop by the store to buy some water. Arriving at the store, parked, I began to turn the key in the ignition to turn off the car engine. I muffled it, but I couldn't get the key out. He was simply stuck, and could only turn to the "ignition" position, and did not turn in any way to the free position, in which it can be removed. After suffering for several minutes, I thought that apparently my car decided that you can’t buy water here and I shouldn’t get out of the car. I moved on to my place of work. Arriving there, I found the same problem. Half an hour trying to remove the key - to no avail. I drove to the nearest car service — they said to change the lock, well, or the “larva†itself in the ignition. The key, of course, was taken out, they conjured a little there. But the result - all the same, the key is removed with difficulty, you have to try hard to extract it. Spent a little nerves, time, well, money (where do without it). I ordered a larva. I'm waiting.
