Toning is the beginning ... - Toyota Carina E, 1.8 liter, 1997

So, today I finally gave the car to work on painting. Again, the remains of the skin and side windows were removed. The rear ones were toned, but apparently with a left foot in the dark and a cheap film ... Dragged home with a firm determination to rip everything to hell and toned it while the bodywork was being painted. I won’t touch the front ones for now, because then I’ll have to throw one fig into my favorite haevnya to change the color ... I won’t assemble the salon until then, because I don’t need to remove the skin 10 times :) I ’ll toned the front ones :)
Although even I’m still rushing things :)
A little bit about shading… Before peeling off the old film, I soaked the glass in a bath in warm water, washed it at the same time :) Then we take the glass and carefully tear off the film so that as little glue as possible remains on the glass. Then I soaked the rest of the glue with pure alcohol (only I couldn’t find anything better at home!) And removed it with a scraper. After an hour of picking, I sniffed alcohol so that for a couple of minutes I thought, why the hell do I need an evening beer? :)))
After the alcohol-treatment, I re-cleaned the glass in soapy water and wiped it dry with a paper towel - damn it's beauty, like in an aquarium :)))
