The results of the flight Tula-Adler-Tula. — Toyota Camry, 3.0 liter, 1994
A couple of weeks ago I returned from a flight =)
We flew on the route Tula-Adler-Tula.
The most economical section of the road turned out in the Rostov region, on a flat, freshly repaired M4 highway - 8.03 liters per 100 km.
(Two lanes in each direction, no tight overtaking)
And the most uneconomical in the Krasnodar Territory, on the Sochi serpentines - 9.47l x 100km.
(Narrow lanes with a small number of places for overtaking, respectively, had to spur, sometimes even very much)
In principle, it is normal for a three-liter engine and not the lightest sedan, which, moreover, is more than a decade and a half old =)
On the way there, somewhere behind Yelets, the front right wheel went flat, and since all this disgrace happened at a speed of over a hundred, the tire received fatal damage =(
Because without a spare wheel it was suffocating to go there, I had to buy = (
Damn the problem! Once upon a time, one of the popular sizes, in our age of low profile, was barely found.
Used for 1800 hazel grouses!
In general, this trouble put me on 1700r. for a new Dunlop, and 150 for a balanced tire fitting.
I found her only outside Voronezh! (I didn’t go to Voronezh, because I don’t know the city)
Outcome.
The total mileage was 3125km.
In liters of 92nd gasoline 280 liters or 6294 rubles + 1700 tires + 150 tire work.
The average consumption of gasoline is 8.95l per 100km.
Return trip - Travel time 18.5 hours, at an average speed of 84.5 km / h (luckily arrived without incident).
It's simple =)
At each refueling, I wrote down the mileage on the check, and refueled a full tank, under the cork.
And then pure mathematics =)
With onboard it would be beauty!
as for me — your expense finally cool. I also get it))) I
sympathize with the wheel, but what can you do.
backfilling question - do you have a sideboard? or where such exact figures for consumption and mileage come from.
I mnu when the wheel unscrewed and tapped, I also thought about something from the suspension at least.
but it turned out ... in general, yes, the saying is very relevant!
Yes, like pah, pah, pah =)
In addition to the under-killed synchronizers in first gear (you see, in their youth they liked to chase it from a place) =)
It just seemed that the sound was some kind of transmission, and it seemed to come from under the hood = )
As they say, Fear has big eyes! =)
Lucky, of course!
The most interesting thing is that I did not immediately understand what was happening. It began to sip to the right, but I attributed it to the profile of the road, in that place it just slopes to the right.
It’s just that when adding gas, while overtaking, I heard a strange sound. I thought that’s it! The gearbox is fucked
up !
And the strange sound was from the fact that the wheel disk began to scroll relative to the rubber, when gas was added, or the wheel itself was slipping.
well, I won’t flatter;)
if the rubber was torn and the pieces started spinning at random or even flew away — no car would have helped.
lucky you Alexey, cheers)
no, no one doubts that the Camry is good
I respect it, many new cars cannot boast of such a service, even if they are serviced by a dealer =)
The car must drive, without it it’s bad for them =) Another thing is how to drive, if you tear it constantly, torment it, and only change the oil from MOT, yes And what is cheaper then it's not good.
I can’t call my old woman, I can’t turn my tongue. And then you will be offended =)
I have to crawl the lion's share of the mileage around the city in Moscow (sometimes you only enter the city for 40 minutes, and this is a couple of kilometers in total), and therefore the consumption is wild.
I don’t add oil at all, the level from replacement to replacement is almost the same. I change it about once every 10 thousand.
And I pour barrel Aral Mega Tronic 5w50 (Germany belongs to "BP"). I made myself half a barrel of 60 liters from work =)
I was afraid to let my old woman go on such a run, although I was offered) All the same, I think that one should show respect for such cars, take care of them)
I get around 11.5-12.5 l 100km around the city with automatic transmission with recesses between traffic lights) On the highway I practically don’t drive, I don’t have any special observations)
Alexey, how are things with oil, do you often top up? And what are you pouring?)

It’s a pity for the wheel, of course, but it’s good that without consequences, the tires are excellent, they didn’t get ragged)
Yes, it’s a pity for the rubber, but it was still the last season for her. Next year I will have to buy a kit.
