weekend with benefit and nerves :) - Toyota Hilux Surf, 2.4 liter, 1991
After the restoration of Zver Gorynych, the hands never reached to reconnect the hatch. For more than a year, the howler lay at home. And the fan had long wanted to be connected to forced labor.
On my husband's weekend, the last ones before the competitions, we decided to do this.
The hatch was connected through a relay. Having checked it with a tester, they found out that it was not working, and connected the hatch directly.
Luke earned, we rejoiced.
Next, a fan was connected. A beautiful button is placed under the steering wheel :) Since the radiator is Gazelle, that is, there is a temperature sensor on the side, it now acts as a stub, but in the future we want to bring another display meter to it, because there are suspicions that Toyota bothers us.
the fan is running.
Well, with the howler was the main problem: to find a place under the hood. But we coped with it, the howler is installed and working.
Then my husband decided to start the car ... but it won’t start ... The starter turns as usual, but it doesn’t catch. We checked the glow plugs, the filter, climbed into the nozzles ... well, in general, almost everything was dismantled, they even tried to take fuel from a bottle, but nifiga, then fuel comes in , then no. 4 hours of dancing with tambourines-screwdrivers-keys did not give anything. They already turned off everything that was reconnected, but nothing.
It turns out that this relay is tricky! We checked it several times: without it, there’s no way, but with it it starts up from half a dozen :) Everything is
connected back and we don’t touch the relay anymore :)!
Well, they pulled the mosquito net so that seeds and mosquitoes would not be collected in the radiator
yeah. and without air conditioning it’s good: the sunroof and the lowered windows cool the car perfectly. Maybe it’s needed, but only in traffic jams and driving exclusively in the city.
So far, the plans are to put an additional generator in place of the kondeya pump. And if there was an kondeya pump itself, then they would swap the wheels :)
hih, I also took it off and the entire air conditioning system too)! There is such a problem with overheating, dirt dust small rodents and predators gather between the radiators, so the main radiator cools worse - hence the overheating.
the sensor from the thermostat burned out in a fire, but when it was restored, it was not possible to find a used one, and it was expensive to buy a new one. Therefore, there is a plug and, accordingly, the fan turns on forcibly. I took it off (the cylinder head is afraid of overheating, and with the air conditioner, as they say, the engine heats up more, so they removed it.)
