Pasting bordachki with Carpet — logbook Toyota Corolla 2001
When buying a car, I did not immediately like the appearance of the interior of the bordachkov.
It especially pissed me off when I threw the keys in there and drove only 100 meters on a not very flat road.
As a result, the first thing I did today was go to the market and buy a meter of Carpet.
What I needed:
1) Carpet
2) Glue (I took the one I found at home (universal moment)).
3) Sharp large scissors.
4) Stationery knife.
The work itself.
1) A small bordachok near the steering wheel can be removed without problems. But at the main one, I first advise you to unscrew the rack or cylinder (whoever wants to call it that way). If you first remove the bordachok, and only then unscrew the rack, then you risk breaking the mount.
2) Thoroughly washed and dried.
3) Personally, I glued in pieces. Those. we cut out a piece of carpet, treat the surface of the bordachka with glue, apply it, press it, and smooth it thoroughly.
5) At a large bordachka, it is necessary to remove the socket with a handle by unscrewing 4 bolts, everything is simple there. It is very important to glue the edges of the main bordachka as best as possible and press it well, because. there may be problems with the reverse fastening of the same panel. The last photo shows my jamb (on the right side, everything is fine, but on the left it slightly spoiled).
6) After gluing, take the blade and carefully cut off the extra pieces of carpet. This can also be done with a blade.
Here is the final result. A little bit not neat! Anyway! )
