3) Next began the dreary process of dismantling the timing chain, camshafts and heads.

4) This is how coked our whole economy is, now I’m sure that I didn’t buy the rings in vain, pictures of the head are below. I am glad at least that the mirror of the cylinder is perfect

5) They pulled out the block, by the way, in the logbook in the last entry there is a description of deception. They issued it as a 2-ku, but in fact 1.8. I went to the store to change spare parts

6) Unscrewed 8 bolts, removed the basket. I'm shocked that the former owner did with it, a whole disk, and a dopa basket, they ordered a new set along with a clutch release.

7) Here is the head and its parts. Everything is very complicated, it was even wished that he himself undertook to disassemble this engine, while he scattered the photo and wrote down, noted. further pictures of the head, valves, seals, etc. (Check out the soot left on the walls from burnt oil).

8) Followed by cleaning, washing, lapping, the whole cleaning process, lapping of the assembly of the head with seals, etc. took 4 days. A professional minder worked with the block, I just cleaned the pistons. Installation of rings, pistons, crankcase, baskets with stsepukhoy and here it is blocks in place. Then everything is the same only in reverse, filling in new oil, box oil, all liquids, proaerka and here it is ready, only without a hood :-)

Started up almost immediately, as soon as the benz reached the injectors. So here it is, it cost nerves, money, beaten and crippled hands, but the engine began to sing).

CONCLUSION: I had the oil seals as dead as possible, if they had been changed at some time, then a complete repair of the engine could have been avoided. oil burns, leaves carbon deposits, and these Toyota engines are famous for their ability to cut.

TIP: At the first hint of oil, change the seals so that everything goes smoothly ;-)
