Trip to Turgay. — Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, 3.0 liter, 1997

During the week we made a short trip to Turgai - this is how we call the area located on the Turgai plateau in the south of our region. A place where wheat crops smoothly flow into a semi-desert, and in the south of the region there are full-fledged sand dunes. cereals grow and the forest, and in the south of the region there is almost a desert!
Well, as a short trip, we dashed off 950 km in a day and a half with a full overnight stay and gatherings at a party.
Patrick rode with us, as the owner affectionately calls him.

In the steppe, not a tree is visible for hundreds of kilometers, and settlements remain only large regional centers, of which there are few. But the steppe is not so monotonous as it might seem at first glance.

Marmots, zurmans, badgers are indigenous people here.
We saw a bunch of larger animals, but the interested photographer turned out to be only me and even then with a shitty phone, but I managed to take a picture of the saiga at a speed of about 90 km / h - in one hand the steering wheel, in the other phone. Two points on the left are them.

The dust is from her.
A cool animal, it doesn’t run but flies, above the ground, it only goes over its legs. Now it is listed in the Red Book, because almost all of them were exterminated in Soviet times. But we saw them very often and about ten!
And this is the koban’s paths along the salt lick from the katlavan with water to the dried-up salt lake. Reeds are their salvation, they sleep there, they dig roots there, there are no acorns in the steppe)

Here such a dust rises from dry land - it has not rained there since spring, so clouds very rarely spill.

And this steppe, burned for tens of kilometers, becomes green even in a hot summer, apparently where the rain has dripped.

I don't like the L200 at all. We also have a Nissan Navara (I removed it from here) in a complete set. Power! And Mitsubishi … Well, I don’t like it and that’s it! I love Toyota!

And the locust is soaked) Although ... You could catch them and fry them in olive oil with lemon juice) Mmm, exotic)

The heat destroys everyone) We will probably have +40 on Thursday. Yesterday the sensor showed +39 in some areas of Moscow.

In my opinion, she doesn’t care about the heat, apparently it just didn’t work out for her) A couple of years ago, the peasants poisoned her so that the crops would not eat. This year, the heat is destroying the wheat.

The Tundra is an impressive car, but even the body is embarrassing, as thick as a cannery can! On the L200 it’s even thicker, although it’s also not an armored train.

And there is even an anecdote about Renji. If you see a Range Rover, it means it is going to or from a service.

Few locusts because of the heat?

I respect Toyota immensely, but only SUVs and pickups, and in particular, I really like the Toyota Tundra.

Thanks!
We have more locusts, they are not rowdy this year!
Did the Range Rover let you down? It’s easiest for us to service the Tayota, and the familiar Range Rover didn’t go on an expedition to the Caspian because of the lack of spare parts, some kind of oil seal leaked!

What a fat locust!

Really great adventure! It’s good that we didn’t go on a Range Rover, otherwise the engine would have fallen to protect the engine during the trip, oil would have mixed with fuel, the shock absorber would have pierced and part of the whole structure would have entered the salon ... Well done! Super!
